Hoje marco meu retorno, agora com meu novo projeto definitivo — um novo propósito, trazendo minha essência cultural. E esse som é apenas uma amostra do que está por vir.

Quero compartilhar com vocês meu novo rework de “Reggae Night”, do eterno Jimmy Cliff. A ideia era lançar no aniversário dele no próximo ano, mas, com a triste notícia de sua partida hoje, decidi liberar agora como homenagem a esse gigante que marcou gerações.

Essa música é muito especial pra mim — muito mesmo — pois representa minha raiz, minha terra São Luís, e toda a força da nossa cultura do reggae.
E sei que, para muitos de vocês, ela também carrega lembranças, histórias e sentimento.

Espero de coração que curtam essa releitura feita com respeito, verdade e muita inspiração pelo legado do grande Jimmy Cliff.

I spent twenty years in mainland France. So you could say I have eclectic musical tastes. I played piano and guitar, but music theory always put me off, so I became a DJ until 2000. Today, I've lived on Réunion Island for over thirty years, and my appreciation for local music has only grown stronger. Sega, maloya, and other related genres are part of my heritage. I've never stopped writing lyrics that come to me, inspired by places and experiences. Until now, I'd never taken the time to set them to music.
