Lee Renacre’s Phat Girl EP was originally released in 1996, boasting four seriously groovy techno cuts emblematic of those times. It is Lee’s first solo release and it came out on his own Format Records, which was started the same year. While back then you could probably buy it as a white label from the back of his car, you can now finally get it as a reissue.  

Physical Education is @Baldo 's new label, coming in strong with this as the first release, and one of the many upcoming must have tech house/techno classics.

For the second release of the year, we are glad to present another compilation combining newcomers and established artists. 

The EP opens with a re-issue of Audio Quests seminal track “The Mental Screen”, originally released on No Bones Records in 1996, where many influences of the era can be heard. Jared Wilson then takes the listener on a twisted acid journey as we have been accustomed by his previous release on the label.

The flipside showcases two up and coming producers, Undersound resident Sohrab and Berlin based KCLF. “Sineking” is an up-tempo track showcasing Sohrab's trademark style, with a driving 101 bass-line and melancholic melodies. The compilation is closed by “Reloaded 9615” an emotional broken beat jam that displays her dexterity with analogue synths and drum machines.

To add to the plethora of great music, mixes and streams coming out of this lockdown/isolation period:

A one hour recording taken from Jordan Carnall and Subb-an presenting the Seven Hills Records show on Netil Radio back in January. 

A small insight into a very loose Sunday night sermon that spanned five hours on air selecting records, the casual drink or two and, of course, a few bits and bobs along the way. 

Consisting of old records and new  - some obscurities and some well known tried and tested crowd pleasers.
