Up and coming Sydney producer Alex Psaltis, aka Fabrics, has been making his name known around town for his dynamic live shows, combining improvisational atmospherics with a nice blend of glitchy electronica and dramatic tones.

Alex dropped into the studio and treated us to a live mix which acted as a preview to his extended set at the Insert 1st Birthday feat. Voiski, Chiara Kickdrum, Simon Caldwell, previous guests on the show in Phile, and heaps more. 

It's a killer mix that works it's way through an atmospheric opening and works itself into a groove that is a fine precursor of what's to come.

Fabrics is the alias of Sydney underground mainstay Alex Psaltis. His music is a melding of propulsive electronics with expansive and affected spectral textures. Using a combination of analogue and digital synthesis, his productions and live sets traverse a wide range of moods and styles, which was highlighted perfectly on his debut EP InnerTerror released earlier this year through AfterHour Recordings. 

This mix is a semi-improvised rendition of his live set featuring 100% original material
