A deceitful journey lies ahead.

Families gather on a European beach, and a man observes that most have worked tirelessly to be there; however, he is there too. This afterthought pulls him by his subconscious into a bond between him and the Ocean Blue. The beach-goer's delights can still be heard, now muffled, outside of the aquatic embrace. Love has enthralled the man, and Blue shares its life with him. The tumult of the crashing waves above are washed out leaving only the sweet humming of ethereal tethers latching from Blue onto the man's subconscious. 

Everything good must come to an end. The bell tolls. Signified is a time for change not chosen by the couple. The man has lost understanding of what is real, of what is important. Suddenly creeps an accelerating divide. 

The man does not go back to the beach. He doesn't care for it anymore, besides he cannot return anyway. What he lost caused him to lose what had been left. He is victim to the empty ocean depths now too deep for lullabies or light. Blue has vanished and the dark reclaims its depressive omnipotence. Sacrificing sins does not cleanse a man of evil. Once committed, it lingers until the end.
