Stone Deep's "Running Man" begins with the lonely sound of a wolf howling and a voiceover setting the scene: “Night falls”. The snare drum, along with the majority of Kenny Owen’s drum kit is run through filters and delays, creating various squishing, swirling and repeating effects that grow and culminate in the swirling chorus. Lyrics paint one of the psychological landscapes that racial disparity creates - which feels like a physical imperative to run. But it's unclear if its an impulse to run towards or away from everything. Kelly Butler’s pulsing bass figure drives the tune and together with the processed drums, it loops back upon itself, and sonically closes in during the chorus. The songs ride-out features DJ Loko scratching Jimi Hendrix’s “Star Spangled Banner” – his turntable plugged through a blaring Marshall stack.

The second release from Nashville's rap rock originators Stone Deep begins where"Nashville" left off, this time with more urgency.

While "Nashville's" songs where developed from sketches Cartwright and Co had created for the follow up to The Hard Corps'"Def Before Dishonor"release - a session which never happened. The tracks here are the first collaboratively created by the line-up of Cartwright, Hayes, Butler, and Cummings. GATG also sees Ruben Makepeace taking over drum and percussion duties from Kenny Owens, and bringing a new driving sensibility to the groove-centric tracks. Guitarist Glen Cummings leads the sampling and sequencing process, while the entire SD family contributes samples. DJ Kutt steps back into the vocal spotlight on all four tracks offering a cool, smooth counterpoint to Ronzo's "in your face" delivery. On GATG Stone Deep showcases a wider sonic range, pulling from power ballads, stomping metal, The Jimi Hendrix Experience riffage, kraut rock, and even De La Soul Groove, that somehow manages to seem more focused as well.

Two tracks from this release (GATG, Mr. Sunray) where previously released in 1994 as a burgundy 7 inch record. Two tracks (Anger, PAID) have never been released or heard before, and seem even more timely and relevant than when they were recorded.

Die Creeping Candies gehörten in den späten 80ern und den beginnenden 90ern zu den erfolgreichsten Vertretern des Gitarren-Undergrounds in Deutschland. Die 80er sind lange vorbei und die Candies sind aus dem Underground an die Oberfläche gekommen.

Mitgebracht haben sie 12 Songs auf ihrem neuen Silberling unter denen sich auch eine Coverversion von „The Wind Cries Mary“ von Jimi Hendrix befindet. Musikalisch spannt sich der Bogen von windschiefem Rock mit einer Portion Psychodelic, staubigem Country mit etwas Rock, Sixties-Garagen-Blues und Stücken, die an erste Punk-Rock Platten erinnern.

Alle 12 Songs wurde live im FlipTop Studio in Wertingen von Uli Fiedler aufgenommen und sind bewusst spartanisch gehalten, um die ureigene Candies-Roughness zu erhalten. Eine würdige Hommage an 35 wechselhafte Jahre am Rande des großen Show-Biz, denn davon könnten die Creeping Candies einiges erzählen. Machen sie aber nicht. Sie machen lieber Musik. Der Sommer ist also klar vorbei bei den Creeping Candies, aber es steht ein milder und angenehmer Herbst ins Haus, so wie es aussieht …

Ihre beiden ersten LPs aus den 80ern auf dem Label „What's So Funny About …“, dem legendären Sub-Label von "Zickzack" von Alfred Hilsberg, haben Kultstatus. Produziert hat sie bis 2005 ihr Freund und Mentor Nikki Sudden, das 2006 gestorbene Mastermind der Swell Maps und Jacobites.
