Dimitri From Paris and DJ Rocca have lots of history of producing together as Erodiscotique and once again here they team up on a new single for Hell Yeah. The stunning original, Disco Shake, comes backed with remixes from Luminodisco, JKriv, D&G and A Mix by remix pioneer and living legend Tom Moulton.

Dimitri from Paris is a true electronic music legend – he pioneered his own French house sound at the start of his career, has mixed seminal compilations including the cult "Deluxe House of Funk" and the infamous "A Night At The Playboy Mansion" and has remixed everyone from The Rapture to Storm Queen in recent times.
His partner in crime here, DJ Rocca – who is part of Ajello and the excellent Crimea X - is one of the key figures in the new Italian house scene. He has released lots of productions and remixes for Classic, Rekids and International Feel and once again comes up with the goods here.

In original form the single is a foot stomping bit of disco with organic drums, breathy vocals and plenty of laser like guitar lines shooting through the arrangement. Bright golden chords add a luxurious quality to the Italo referencing pianos and the twinkly, starry breakdown allows a moment to catch your breath before is off to authentic disco town once again.

Cologne based lone ranger, producer, coffee drinker and occasional bike rider Steffen Baldo aka Ugly Drums has been fine tuning the spokes of his career for 10 hard working years.

Making early marks in the scene with his "Next Room EP" on German based label Polyfon, which received support from Moodymann, MCDE and cemented his reputation early on. Steffen later released dance floor workouts on Rush Hour, Fifty Fathoms Deep, Black Key Records, Quintessential and KOLOR LTD.
His 2013 album left a burning mark on the sample based house scene, pushing the boundaries of the melting pot of his home base Cologne.
Mr Drums has also extensively backed up his original works by remixing the likes of Manuel Tur, Toby Tobias, Holly Backler, Andy Ash, Inkswel and Bartellow.

After the smashing "Get Up" edit released on FACES alongside Kid Sublime and Jayson Brothers, Ugly Drums is back on FACES Records with his best work yet- "The Freak EP"! If you're of the impression that marching bands aren't the epitome of cool, then you're probably close to the truth. The drummers however are an exception. Now these guys, although often dressed in silly uniforms, make some pretty swish sounds and it seems @romaalkultan (Oliver Malin) thinks something similar. The genre-diverse producer based out of the UK is back with his Everlasting Romance EP and we're all about it's lead track 'Step Inside'. 

Blasting out of the gates with a throbbing kick and those aforementioned military-like snares, we soon meet a host of other party members including acid stabs, perky keys and what sounds like a Native American giving his flute a good blow. Keeping it UK, Malin's had this one pressed courtesy of London label Tiff's Joints (we'd love to know how they came to that name). If lads like Bradley Zero and Gilles Peterson are already giving tracks off the EP a run, then you'd assume it's a pretty tasty release. 

When we're allowed to once again dance in crowds and be merry. Get along to see Romaal play!

Broken District is a label that we’ve been following since the beginning of their musical adventures. This Friday, they are presenting "Brokenbits Vol.2", the latest in their series of compilations featuring productions from the label’s friends and affiliated talents. This new volume explores multiple territories, including musical works crafted by Real J., Interface Palm, Junktion, Joint4Nine, and a beautiful track from Jeppe Wolmer that we are sharing with you below as a Bolting Bits Premiere.Long-time friend of the BKD family, Real J. opens this EP with a downtempo broken-beat ballad inspired by the London nujazz scene. “Computer Funk” is led by a melancholic Rhodes melody evolving throughout this perfect introductive track.Up next is the Melbourne-based artist Interface Palm with “Head in the iClouds”, a dynamic and percussive production backed by a strong bassline. The track is sitting halfway between spiritual jazz, house and funk, a perfect fit with the label’s musical tastes.He is followed by the Dutch producer Junktion, one half of the infamous Fouk project. Junktion joins the BKD family with “On Crown Range Road”, a mid-tempo funk journey powered with peaceful piano loops and a twisted, acid synth bassline.Lots of new additions to the family on this Brokenbits Vol.2 compilation! The Colombian artist Joint4Nine, co-founder of Nòmada Records, is also boarding the BKD aircraft. “Hood Stories” is a soft, deep sound with soulful, afro house influences, reminiscent of the good old days spent in the neighborhood.Broken District artist Jeppe Wolmer closes this release with one of his genre-bending creations, "Into the Night”, a hybrid funky pop-electronica journey. We already shared with a track from him on the inaugural release from the label. As stated by the label, this new track apparently started out as a DJ tool, but Jeppe eventually added his own vocals and created a beautiful piece of art by layering down some melancholic strings and synth compositions, giving the ideal conclusion to this new compilation.
