It isn't perfect. I was trying really hard on keeping a melody throughout the entirety of the piece, so some places have more form then others. Though I haven't uploaded anything in a while, so I hope you guys enjoy it. :)

Cinematic Orchestra - To Build a Home (Piano Solo - DEMO)

Another improvisation. I played with tone chords a bit, and finding a resolve that didn't actually 'resolve' was difficult. 

Also the recording is lacking some dynamic range that would have really helped during the climax, as it started to hit the upper end of the volume.

Improvisation No 5 - To Rest

This piece started with a tune I've been working on since June 2014, before my BMQ. Not having touched a piano since June, when I got home I started furiously trying to record an improvisation that captured my feelings and emotions during the month of July, while incorporating this minor and suspenseful melody I had been working on. 

Key: Ab Minor (Played in the relative Major)
Tempo: ~88 BPM 
Recorded using MIDI into Logic X using the Steinway Grand patch.

Happiness comes and goes, sometimes things are a little sad, and you get in your way. Its been a really long time since I've recorded something I'm happy about. I tried to look back on some older Improvs, and use those for inspiration

Improvisation No.3 Trial 1

Melancholy seems like the right word to describe this piece. I tried to simulate the same theme over again, in different keys, and from different points on the scale. The basis of the Melody is a I-ii-iii-V-V-iii-ii-iii, although I did variate it starting on the IV or even the vi. 

Anyways, Its an attempt at something new. Its not perfect. So yeah.

Mourn To The Lost(SATB)

A composition my friend Brad and I worked on during a weekend. It was done for a English project, it has everything from some atmospheric and jazz elements and even some disney.

Anyways I hope you guys like this. It was created to symbolize the life of Willy, a character from the screenplay 'Death of a Salesman' by Arther Miller
