Following gigs at Hoppetosse and an impressive podcast for Item, the French-German, Super Venus, caught our ear with her patient approach and under-the-radar selections.

Gaining a reputation for being able to play any time of night, there's a distinct personality to her records; a fusion of downtempo, breaks and techno rooted deeply in the raw sounds of the 90s.

Emerging from the Romanian scene back around ten years ago as an accomplished DJ and producer, Bucharest's Funk E has been on a circuitous path since then, taking in gigs all over the globe as well as a residency at Underground in Ibiza. 

Despite releasing on a number of prominent labels, he's always kept a pretty small footprint; focusing on quality rather than pumping out a stream of tracks and mixes.  This one is no different and hints at an artist who's been steadily refining their craft.  In it you can hear the evolution of his sound; clearly with one foot in the Romanian landscape in which he cut his teeth but possessing an uncommon sophistication and depth.

Recorded live at one of the best clubs in Europe, PRST - for Apartment Acht - this is the first three hours of a recent all-nighter.

After a very long mix hiatus and a pretty quiet summer, I had the idea to finally get back into it and put down something that expressed me as a DJ, music enthusiast and tell a story. With this in mind, I came up with the concept "From Dusk till Dawn". This is where I would start the mix somewhere in the beauty of a late summer early evening, slowly moving through tempo and intensity to capture how I envision the energy of dusk until the early hours of the morning to be. Where dawn breaks, and you are locked into to a seriousness which can only be brought about through a proper trip, built up with thought and intent.

This was recorded live at home with two turntables, a CDJ, rotary, some average speakers and a lot of sweat. It is very raw but Im hoping the rawness will be relatable and resonate with some. I definitely left a piece of myself in this one.

Over the past year, @thebogeymann has been refining both his palate and his ears, digging records while learning about wine. The result is a selection that breathes both nuance and maturity.

His podcast drifts between minimal subtleties and deep house depths, a journey as precise as it is fluid. A proud member of the Miskine Booking family alongside @quenteckk and @myrta_g, he already left us stunned during a @192gmbh x @bebopkru closing - and this one carries the same haunting touch.
