A record shop run by 2 jazz enthusiasts with a fine taste for wax. Funnily enough 90% of tracks in this mix I discovered there over the years. Emerging from the Romanian scene back around ten years ago as an accomplished DJ and producer, Bucharest's Funk E has been on a circuitous path since then, taking in gigs all over the globe as well as a residency at Underground in Ibiza. 

Despite releasing on a number of prominent labels, he's always kept a pretty small footprint; focusing on quality rather than pumping out a stream of tracks and mixes.  This one is no different and hints at an artist who's been steadily refining their craft.  In it you can hear the evolution of his sound; clearly with one foot in the Romanian landscape in which he cut his teeth but possessing an uncommon sophistication and depth.
