질투는 아무것도 낳지 않으면서 휩쓸고 지나간 자리의 모든 것을 게걸스럽게 먹어치운다.

질투는 무겁다. 질투는 그 무게로 모든 것을 자신과 같은 위계로 끌어내리려 한다. 
그럼에도 질투는 손잡이가 없는 칼과 같아서 그 악의는 피아를 가리지 않는다.

질투는 욕심이 많다. 한순간의 샤덴프로이데가 모든 걸 무너뜨릴 걸 알면서도 멈추지 못한다.

질투는 파도와 같아서 그 몸집을 끊임없이 불리곤 한다. 
그 몸이 어딘가 부딪혀 이내 아무것도 남지 않을 때까지.

질투는 보지 못한다.
질투는 듣지 못한다.

질투는 가장 추악한 감정이다.
