Factor B (aka Highlandr) is leading the world as one of modern trance’s most compelling storytellers—an artist whose music is driven by integrity, passion, and a deep respect for the roots of the genre. Blending classic uplifting trance with cinematic depth and long-form progression, his sound is defined by honesty, melody, and an unwavering commitment to music that feels purposeful rather than disposable.

That ethos has translated into major fan-voted success through A State of Trance. In 2021, Sea of Thoughts surged to #5 in the ASOT Countdown, marking an early breakthrough. Momentum continued with #3 Tune of the Year in 2022 for Other Side (Factor B’s In Loving Memory Remix), followed by a landmark #2 in the ASOT Top 50 of 2024 with The Girl With Her Head In The Clouds (Ellie’s Song)—a defining moment that firmly established him among the scene’s most respected artists. In 2025, he once again demonstrated consistency at the highest level with You’ll Miss Me When I’m Gone placing #5. Alongside this, Brendan has amassed over 10 Beatport #1 records across his career, underlining his long-standing impact on the global trance scene.

On stage, Factor B has taken this uncompromising sound to some of the world’s most respected platforms, including Tomorrowland, Creamfields, EDC Mexico as well as main stage performances at Dreamstate, A State of Trance, Subculture, Luminosity Beach Festival,  just to name a few, where his uplifting melody-led sets have become synonymous with depth and musical journey.

Beyond festivals and club events, his vision has flourished through his Theatre of the Mind headline shows around the world—album-focused performances across Europe, the USA, Asia, Australia, South Africa, and beyond that consistently sell out. These events have become a cornerstone of the project, reinforcing his reputation as an artist who values immersion, patience, and connection over trends.

Factor B is also an album artist at heart. His debut long-form release, Factor B Presents Theatre of the Mind (2021), introduced a dual-alias concept that bridged uplifting trance with deeper, cinematic textures. This evolved further with Theatre of the Mind – Bloom (In Loving Memory) (2025), a second artist album that doubled down on long-form cathartic storytelling in an increasingly singles-driven landscape.
