The Sound of Speed is the 45th album published by OverClocked ReMix and arranges music from both the Japanese and American versions of the Sonic CD soundtrack, released in 1993 for the Sega CD. It features 38 tracks arranged by 39 artists in a variety of styles and genres. This album was made as a tribute to the game's 20th anniversary.

This started as a simple breakbeat experiment in FL Studio one late night... three days later I made a funky sounding bass-line and then things started falling into place. I took a great deal of inspiration from SA's and SA2's options track ' Funky Groove Makes U Hot?' as you kinda can tell. Well enough of me talking, enjoy folks!
