Specifically at Planet Wax in LDN (Bigup Lewis and Dexta), Collector Cave (Bigup Ami, Guy and Ollie) and Shall Not Fade (Bigup Bailey) in Bristol and DNR Vinyl in Croydon (Bigup Dan). Bigup my homie Jon for the We Are IE rekkid that just showed up in my mailbox. Last tune is an original production by myself and Andre Orcutt, dubplate lathe cut on a vinyl recorder by Lewis at Planet Wax. Bigups to Slimzee who had me down to Rinse FM up there in Hoxton for his set while I was visiting - respect.

Hatcha, Skream, Benga, Caspa & Rusko - Kiss FM - 03/06/2009

Grime has its fair share of enduring figures, but Slimzee's tenure as a cornerstone of the scene is more or less unparalleled. As a founding member of the Pay As U Go Cartel- the pioneering crew headed up by Wiley, God's Gift and Flowdan- and a key player in Rinse FM's formative years he was instrumental in Grime's transition from a niche genre to a nationwide phenomenon.

However, Slimzee has never been one to dine out on his credentials, and over the course of his twenty-something year career he has remained a humble but prolific selector, steadily amassing an arsenal of dubplates, specials, and VIPs whilst continuing to break fresh talent via his eponymous Slimzos label and numerous radio shows.

Slimzee's contribution to the Crack mix series is exemplary in style, flitting through a rapidly-mixed selection of sinister dubs and frosty instrumentals to devastating effect.
