What is an affirmation or saying that keeps you going?
"Surrender to the Process" was the affirmation that got me through birth and a gem I hold dearly. 

What does Black Girl Magik mean to you?
Black Girl Magik is a kind of medicine that comes straight from our DNA that is nurturing, expansive & firm. A real reminder that we are a vital link to source. A reflectin of earth, the cosmos & beyond. 

What book are you currently reading?
Dark Matter, a Century of Speculative Fictions From the African Diaspora & Self Publish Be Happy. 

What Black Woman has influenced you?
My mother would definitely be first. Lately we've been having a lot of long conversations on life and relationships, which is making the influence more clear. Sobonfu Some is someones words I frequently return to. There are many Black Women in The Bay that have been strong lights during different stages of my growth : Melorra & Melonie Green, Regina Evans, Karen Senefuru, Ashara Ekundayo. All the women that were in Malidoma Collective, because the bonds are so pure. The whole House of Malico squad. My peers, my partners, my friends, my council. Those that I build with on the 1 on 1. The list goes on and on.
