Quite possibly one of my all time favourite Tony Humphries tapes as he mixes live for Kiss 98.7 in New York back in 91 or so...Tony is rockin tracks like Nature Boy's Ruff Disco, Mood 2 Swing - 2 copies :), Ron Trent as well as his own remix for The Sugarcubes - Leash Called Love amongst many other great House records of that time. One word that springs to mind when hearing and Tony - a real workin DJ in the mix is 'Slammin'

GE-OLOGY MIX - "HERITAGE HEAT" (HEAVY DIGS FOR THE PEOPLE)

Tune and I are/were big fans of the Rurals we bought and sold their records as buyers at Daddy's records in 2000. We struck up a business relationship when we reached out to Andy for more records for the shop. Never in our dreams did we think we would meet them. As fate would have it, we would eventually meet during a tour in Canada where Tune shared a couple dates in 2001 and have been friends ever since.
    This mix was a long time coming. In 2008 I called Andy up and asked if He minded if Tune and I did a mix for the 10yr anniversary of Peng. 
He said sure. A couple starts and stops later we didn't get it done. Just couldn't decide and Tune was unhappy with the mixes. 
So the 15yr mark came and I was a year into being  a new Dad and Tune had been playing my radio show off and on to practice so one Sunday in summer of 2015 He called me up and asked if He could come over with a bottle of Vino and spark one up. When He came over He had an old Tweekin' bag packed with vinyl. After a glass of wine He pulled out a phat joint and said He was moving His records from His Moms house and He found a bag filled with Rurals records from a night years back we did a whole night of Rurals songs. So we sparked it up and started mixing. He wanted to start off with His fave song Modulating Sneakers and we hit record. 
We used all vinyl and mixed 1 for 1 to make it more fun. We had so much music we were going to do a second one but it didn't work out. I'm thankful we at least made one try. I hope you enjoy a moment in time with two friends enjoying Music, wine and a phat spliff having fun mixing some of our fave tunes from our friends catalogue. 
It's an all vinyl mix so you will hear some transient sound and noise floor. 
Only Vinyl, Two Technic 1210's and a MP2016 Rane rotory mixer were used to record this mix.
