"Shady Fools" (Vol. 2 EPx9 is the twin sister song of "Shades of Fools", and what happens when I swap my KNOWsutra and BLOWsutra hats... because heh, better be safe than sorry, and also, because I often dream of a world where the shades of soul—not the color of skin—mattered (damn it)! Because (everybody knows), like Tom Waits once said, "there's no prayer like desire", And Cindy Lauper was definitely onto something with that "True Colors" song :)

Past midnight. Empty streets. From an ill lit doorway a sound. A woman. Shadow. A scent. Drawn into one. Smoke and synthesizer music swirls. Bionda E Lupo. Crossing the threshold, tripping into twilight. Analogue emotion, styles twirled like garlands. Nervous shuffles and the touch of fingertips. Weaving, bodies twirl as morning shoulders into night. The realisation. The edge of eyes. Curl of lip. The click of heels with creak of floor. Feeling flows, ebbs, cascades and floods. Lipstick and heavy perfume. Two forms swimming in currents, bending to one another in the warm glow of aging speakers. Breath and pulse quicken. Electricity spiked with passion. The final embrace. Whispered promises. A kiss.

Here at Moontown we have been fans of Brisbanes Laura Hill (Scraps) since discovering her 7" Secret Paradise on Disembraining Machine back in 2012. From there we moved back and forth through her discography and even brought her to Canberra a few times ~ Needless to say we had become intrigued, obsessed and addicted to the mysterious world of SCRAPS.

TTNIK (pronounced Titanic) is her latest full length, its a hard one to pin down - Call it club music with luscious cosmic sunburn ~ Addictive, playful and sludgy synth pop that works just as well in a club setting as it does booming through the walls of a dilapidated weatherboard queenslander on a steamy afternoon.

It is an absolute pleasure and honour to be releasing SCRAPS latest album TTNIK through Moontown ~ We hope you enjoy just as much as we do.
