Helvetesdagar is the debut album of Fågelle.

Making this album has sometimes been like slowly working myself into the pitch black. To no longer see where I’m heading or how I’ll get there, just feeling my way forward meter by meter.

Fågelle creates music where layers of noise meet pop melodies in an exploration of rhythms and the subject of power. With pedals, synthesizers and samplers, she dives into the sounds, experimenting until she finds what will come together with poetry to create a compelling song in the middle ground between sound art and pop. Her sound world consists of everything from field recordings from the Moscow subway to roaring guitars and tormented synthesizers.

In collaboration with the producer Henryk Lipp (Blue for Two, Anna von Hausswolff, Union Carbide) the ideas are grown into sound worlds, pop songs, storm clouds. From the smallest text fragments to the rolling in of the biggest thunder. With lyrics in Swedish about our current times in micro and macro-perspective and about power and powerlessness. Her music has been described as “a soft punch in the face”.

De lever på och över hustaken. Stadsfåglarna som ljuger och svär, parkfåglarna som sover under bar himmel och torgfåglarna som tigger mat från främlingar. De lever där, och vi har ingen aning. 

Klara Andersson gör under pseudonymen Fågelle ljudbilder som befolkas av skator, sparvar, kråkor och kajor. Det rör på sig och samtidigt som rytmerna och melodierna slåss med varandra berättas det om rädslan för att bli vuxen, egoism och kråkor.

Emerging from the Nordic experimental music scene, swedish artist Fågelle is a raw collision of lyrical beauty and unhinged sonic expression. Her intricate soundscapes breathe with detail, blending fragile folkloristic passages with orchestral walls of sound, electronic disturbances, and primal, haunting vocals. Each performance feels like a ritual – a rare, hypnotic experience where the delicate meets the immense, and vulnerability transforms into power.

Following two acclaimed albums — Helvetesdagar (2019) and Den svenska vreden (2023) Fågelle now returns with a bold new project rooted in her home region of Halland, Sweden. This upcoming album marks a shift in process and place: a deep listening to the forests and villages that shaped her. Rather than nostalgia, it’s about reclaiming space and memory and transforming overlooked places into creative frontiers.
Sonically, it’s dark, textural, and atmospheric — distorted guitars, unruly drums, brass, broken electronics, and field recordings from forests, community halls, and teenage corridors of her youth, while lyrical, luminous vocals thread hope through the noise.

She has toured extensively across Europe, both solo and supporting Zola Jesus, BIG|BRAVE, and Esben and the Witch, and played festivals and venues like Roadburn, Way Out West, Berghain Kantine, Petit Bain, and more.
