I start to feel the buzz.
Dream-living and I know I've lost my fears,

Hair red like fire,
eyes pure as sapphire.
She ruled my world

in the night, for a time.

Then I don't mind that I'll
say goodbye for I'll see you at another time.

Crossing paths in a manner I can't explain,
I leap and take a chance.
High on passion as I feel the force of fate
just leave me in a trance.
Through the fire and the heat I feel her eyes

What have Gods made of men?
- building barricades between friends.
Competing schools of morality
fuelling fear and insecurity.

What have Gods made of men?
- fires of hell to wash away your sins.
A hidden evil raging holy wars
with moral claims to rule by fear and force.

- abusing power as a show of strength.
A simple truth, yet cannot be observed,
dividing neighbours we're supposed to love.

Summer's Come (May 2004)

(I wrote this as I approached the end of my BA degree at university - basically, just anticipating the end of uni and the long summer ahead etc. A bit cheesy in places oops!)

And what is happening when all my dreams come true?
I never imagined this.
And maybe I can't see what's happening to you
- I'm lost in all my dreams.

Straight up; I know it's hard but I can see it clear.
Wake up! I know it's dark but I can feel it here.

Summer's come and fallen into place.
I'm blinded by the sun lit on my face.
I never imagined life could taste so good.
And time is flying by; this is the end.
I'm spending all my time with all my friends.
The end of the road as we come and go.

And what is happening when it's all because of you;
the sparkle in the stars.
And all the memories of friendships old and new
remaining in my heart.

Hi, I'm Fahim. I'm 33 years old and live in Hertfordshire, UK. I grew up in North London in Enfield.

I have been playing guitar since the age of ten. Since then, I have picked up the keyboard and, latterly, the drums.

I've been writing songs since I was a teenager, inspired initially by British rock n' roll bands such as The Beatles, as well as the "Britpop" scene - Oasis, Manic Street Preachers, Blur and Feeder etc. These days, while many genres of music appeal to me, I probably remain most influenced by the likes of The Killers, Bruce Springsteen, and American bands such as The Goo Goo Dolls and Pearl Jam.

Music is my strongest passion in life and a huge source of expression.
