Psychic Liberation presents “Friendly CSA Compilations Parts 1 & 2”. A compilation in two parts consisting of artists orbiting the PL canon from around the world in an effort to raise funds for Roots Unbound Friendly CSA.

Roots Unbound (RU) is an abolitionist grassroots organization based in Brooklyn offering nature-based programming centered around food justice, therapeutic horticulture and ecological disinvestment to people in the NYC area with a focus on supporting and uplifting people impacted by the carceral system.

Friendly CSA is a cooperative, agricultural initiative that was mobilized to respond to the food apartheid within New York jails and prisons. Roots Unbound sends care packages of harvested produce that are
chosen by incarcerated folks via a newsletter sent out every month, by growing and collaborating with local New York City land stewards. This CSA is provided at no cost to the recipients, funds raised for this CSA will be used towards packaging, postage, printed materials for newsletters, and a P.O. box.

For years now, an old recording of Jeffrey Sfire at Cocktail D'Amore's one and only cosmic hole was one of the highest references for us in terms of downtempo Italo sleaze - an almost 6 hours recording serving more like a PhD aural dissertation specialized in some of the most remarkable dancefloor digs (mainly Europe) had to offer in the 80s at under 115BPM. To be able to share it publicly on the HAND Mix Series as we reach number 50 is a huge honor and we're greatly thankful to Giacomo and Giovanni, the two cuties behind Discodromo that made this possible. We hope you can appreciate it as much as we have over these past years. For the first time in our 25-year history, we are releasing a live solo recording by Craig Richards from the club. 

“This mix was recorded on the second of December at a Continuum party. I commenced just after five and finished at nine. The heady combination of nostalgia coupled with the past, the future and more importantly my daughter dancing next to me, resulted in a mix that I felt happy with. Historically, I have been very self-critical and have chosen not to release many mixes. Across nearly four hours this one seems to encapsulate the twenty five years of playing at fabric. In 1998 I was invited by Keith Reilly to play weekly at what was an imaginary nightclub. I had no idea that experience would continue for so many years. Playing vinyl on that sound system and mixer is highly exciting and a joy in itself. I am delighted that this has been my method of sonic communication and remain deeply grateful for my ongoing residency.” - Craig Richards


Craig will be joining us at the club on 30th March to celebrate his 25-year residency with a 25-hour Continuum party.
