This is a track from a 2016 recording of a concept album I wrote back in 2006 called "I Think I'm Going Crazy." The album acts as a description and interpretation of hallucinations I experienced due to a 105 degree fever and an colossal cocktail of over-the-counter medicines. This track in particular focuses on dreams and hallucinations I was having on how to make time travel a reality. It also looks into a naïve anger I was feeling during the fever about how time is a manmade construct/limitation we put on ourselves. Basically it's a musical rant about how much I wish time travel could be a reality. Enjoy!

I’m too busy taking time out to interpret these dreams,
But don’t listen too close, this is a conversation piece at most,
So talk amongst yourselves while I ramble on and on,

Where the darker it gets the harder it is to hide,

Why did nobody notice did nobody try,
To divide from the same old emotion the same trying line?
And how did everyone sink so far down in the sand?

Something tells me by the look in your eye that you’re not listening, why?
When I’ve done everything I can, bend backwards and stand on my hands for hours and hours,
Drinking wine and taking cold showers,
Do you see the moon? No it can’t be seen tonight,
Too many clouds, too little light,
Yet still the stars sit so small and clear,
Like the sky is a sea filled with garbage and I’m the gondolier,

Time, E, P, and R might have finally got it right,
When they say that it doesn’t really matter what day, it doesn’t really matter what night,
This fourth dimension can’t just be a line as in our minds,
That’s the only hope that I have for us all, all mankind,

Why did nobody notice that man had made time?
It’s a leash that we wear, a circle or square, depending on your design,
And how did everyone stick themselves down on this path?
We keep building up more, score after score, never free from circuitous math,

I Think I'm Going Crazy

Conversation Piece

This is a track I wrote toward the end of college about my fears of the future, life, and abandoning my dreams of being an artist. It rings so true now, years later, I decided to fully re-record this track and a handful of others from an old solo demo called 'Autopilot.' The album tells the story of a man growing from high school adolescence into middle age and the relationships and mistakes he makes along the way.

I'm messing up my life just by sitting around,
I get nothing done, I feel like I'm nowhere bound,
I want to be alone, yeah and I want to be free,
And yet I want you to fall back in love with me,

I messing up my life just by sitting right here, 
Playing my guitar and drinking yet another beer,
And my six pack is gone and so is your suitcase, 
And I'll never again see your beautiful face,

I'm messing up my body the more that I drink,
I'm messing up my mind the more that I think,
I'm messing up my life now and I don't even care, 
Because you're not here, no you're not anywhere,

I know I'm spiraling down, 
sometimes I wish I'd sink so low that I'll never be found,
Down someplace where everything stays the same,
I'm afraid of my own life and I have no one else to blame,

Because I know I'm messing up my life by ignoring my dreams,
I'm closing up me eyes, blind to the way it seems,
That I can't do a thing alone now, no I won't even try,
And I can't even think of a single reason why (Oh, god)

You could have been my wife, but i know why you didn't stay,
There's a lesson to be learned here, but I'm throwing it away,
I'll keep messing up my life, though you might find it strange,
And I'll keep writing these songs and pretend that they'll help me change
