Ethio-jazz,Taureg blues, Somalian funk and more swirl through the album’s DNA. These deep traditions are synthesized into contemporary compositions that pay homage while propelling ever onward. Story merges continents by bringing together luminaries from his Los Angeles music community like Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, Sudan Archives, Josef Leimberg and album producer Carlos Niño alongside forward thinking African musicians. The album’s title tune, premiered by Frosty on his monthly Red Bull Radio show, features Addis Ababa-based Endeguena Mulu aka Ethiopian Records who encases it in a radiant, electronic shroud. No Emotions is basically hitting the nail on the head, in the sense that in our society today people don't really say or be specific on what they want from one another especially when it comes to relationships and affiliations. In no emotions, i tried to say what i want, which is to have fun and put feelings aside because I'm not ready at the moment. The whole concept of the song is to come clean rather than wasting people's time and playing with their emotions.
