Desperate And Dazed

Outta the Woods is a unique collaborative project, based on Alex’s time as a musician for the now-defunct Averno franchise, which had a triple-album deal with Broadway Records and was even featured in the New York Times. Unfortunately, the team fell apart due to creative differences in the working environment, and as a result, virtually all Averno content was wiped from the web: theatrical works, film works, and podcasts alike, as well as all the songs Alex wrote.

Outta the Woods is equal parts conservation effort and farewell letter. Alex didn’t want their work on Averno to disappear forever, and leapt at the opportunity to rerelease it on their own terms.

sooo, i did my first game jam this year! and it wasn't the most conventional one. 
basically, a bunch of people made a game, and then i came on once it was done to add sound design. 
the game is called "opposite day in alabama," and it's pretty neat! i went in knowing nothing about alabama, so that was fun. 
everything is foley except the "boing" sound and the banjos (though i did compose the latter and fx both!)

this is a sort of experiment, being a collection of the first songs i made while learning my way around my first daw. budget of $0. plenty of work, but also plenty of play. consider it the first milestone in my journey as an artist: I'm proud of these now, but I've only started, and I can't wait to look back on this in embarrassment. 
but that said, I hope you enjoy it. a lot of love went into every song, and I hope that love shines through. resonates. 
this is music from the video game you played in a lucid dream. music to watch the sky to, whether it's clouds or constellations. music that just might find a home in your heart.
