Disquiet Junto Project 0600: Reaching Out
The Assignment: This is a shared sample project. Rework a set of seven WAV files provided by Marcus Fischer.

Loaded everything into a sampler and started playing around with slices and layers until things started to form.  Set it up so I could mix and tweak each sample live and then hit record.  I ended up using the following samples in the final track: worn_path, psu_stairs, walking, and nacre_voit,  No other sound sources added.  Recorded directly to a stereo file with no post processing.

Disquiet0600 - Out Reach In

For this, I continued down the road paved by my 0605 & 0606 submissions, these being extensions of what I did for 0530 and the subsequent album of its evolutionary brothers and sisters.

Process notes - iPad, AUM, Fugue Machine generating notes into MF Randomizer and ScaleBud 2 into Erik Sigth's strng synth engine and then a bus track. 

Other Desert Cities & Shaper were effects used.

Note that this configuration was a much-simplified take on something I did earlier in the day titled "Instruction For Timid" that should be released on YouTube under the name Microtherapist, my sorta raw project. This earlier piece was also Day 1237 of my 100 Day Project.

I recorded at 45.1 BPM and imported the two wav files into Ableton Live 11 Suite. There I time-stretched the audio to 60 bpm using the Beats warp mode with short transient envelope times and then added a gate to my standard channel group. I added my standard mastering group (Live native effects and Ozone), widened the stereo panorama to 110% and rendered to WAV & MP3.

This was done for disquiet0609. Apparently for remixing by others. Really simple, I'm still learning. Here's what I wrote on the message board...

Ok well, if you want words, here you go. If you want anything else, lucky we'll be remixing these. 

This was done to a drum track that I later removed, it's about the most basic blips and blobs you can imagine. Hope you all have fun with it!
