'Brutus and Corineus' continues the story told in 'Phoenician Dream'. Taken from Geoffrey of Monmouth's 'History of the Kings of Britain' (specifically, 'Brutus Occupies the Island of Albion'). I was greatly inspired by L.A. Waddell's later research in to the founding of ancient Britain, including the story of Brutus, as told in the old British chronicles (Monmouth and Nennius).

THE STORY

Having found the desolate island of Leogecia (possibly the modern Leucas island) and having experienced a vision whilst sleeping in it's abandoned temple, Brutus decides to follow the advice he received from the goddess. Continuing by ship, Brutus and his companions find Corineus and other banished Trojans. Being kin, they join together and continue voyaging under Brutus' leadership. They arrive in the Aquitaine region (France), but end up embroiled in a vicious war. Realising they cannot win, Brutus and his company escape and continue on to the island the goddess had told him of.
