Another one of my songs inspired by voice samples from India.
Allthough i must admit i have no idea what they are singing about,judging from the sheer beauty of their voices its certainly something benign in nature.
I hope the listener is not annoyed by by repeated use of bells in so many of my songs.Im just simply enchanted by them and i cant help myself once im under the spell of beauty.

I have allways been fascinated by the similar basic groove in traditional folk music from all over europe and even beyond. Its like we can sense the blood pumping in our common veins whether we have roots in Norway,Idaho or Ukraine.
I have tried to capture some of that with my digital composing tools to create this little piece of Folktronica titled BONFIRE NIGHTS.

This song was an oily eel twisting and turning and refusing to bend to my will ,allways drifting into territories i did not intend to venture.
So i finally decided to surrender to its inherent will ,leaving creative control behind and presenting this slick beast as it choose to appear against my intention.
It was either that or killing it.

THE DRIFTER

Haunted by the prospect of being accused of cultural appropriation,i must haste to point out a few argumants to my defence. Firtsly i will never make any money on this song,nor did i compose it for such a reason. Secondly i have the deepest respect for all native american tribes,their traditions and connection to nature and the spirit within.Had their culture prevailed the onslaught of western values we might still live on a planet untouched by human made climate change,industrial pollution and the specter of nuclear annihilation hanging over all our paranoid heads.Its such a paradox that western culture has brought us both human rights and a severe disconnect from nature,including our own nature within. 
Thirdly i have allways had a fascination for chanting of various ethnic origin,wether from native american tribes,or some buddhist monks chanting mantras.As an inborn eclectic i borrrow elements from wherever i find them and merge them into my mold of funk,jazz,pop,rock,elctronica and you name it.
But its all done with the utmost respect from my part,so if anyone should feel exploited i ensure you it was never my intention.
Most of the chanting within this song is from The Hopi nation,and the striking image to accompany the song is a cave painting of the ANT PEOPLE as described by the Hopi themselves. Oh..and the spoken words are from using a TEXT TO SPEECH online app.(Never done that before.)

I decided to make a Rhapsody from the Savannah,inspired by these cool tribal shouts i found online.I have no idea what they are shouting or what tribe or nation they originate from,i just loved the sound of it.
I decided on the title before even starting the composing and arranging,but was delighted to find out once finished that my song was 5 minutes and 55 seconds in lenght,exactly the same duration as Bohemian Rhapsody! So the title was a token.

The beginning of this song is the middle part of AFRICAN RHAPSODY,as i felt it was a song of its own.(I did make some chances though)
Jammin with the birds was more tricky then expected,it seems birds dont use a metronom,and it can be a bit hard to figure out what key they are singing in sometimes.Still.its an honour to jam with creatures who has been singing since before music was invented.- Ray.

Im a bit rusty, not having access to any music software for more then a year,trapped on the other side of this god forsaken planet by the pandemic.
But here is a song of sorts,full of my usual obsessions for bells and funky slap bass,infused with fragments of INDIA as glimpsed from the west,no deeper meaning intended,just a fascination with India in general.
(I must admit i have no idea what these men are singing..i just feel an emotional positive affecttion for the sound and vibrations of the voices.)
