In order to kick off the ELM STREET EP format, yamagucci42 has teamed up with Elm Street 42's new artist Timothy.
By mixing ghetto tech and miami bass sounds, the two have put together an excitingly diverse ep with vocal samples from MC Styla to the legend herself, Gangsta Boo.

Co-founder Rassan returns to the catalog in a five track EP of no-nonsense bass-heavy steppers, featuring a remix from Kyoto’s Stones Taro. 

Rassan kicks things off with ‘Saxon Dub’ uniting bass musics’ core elements with his own distinct flavor, as sprawling drums leak over the sweltering yet rhythmically placed bass line. ‘Slide ‘N’ Wine’ is a piece of screw-face-two-step that moves people from their seats, with fun heavily at its core; the type of track where approved looks are exchanged in the heat of the rallying club.

‘Up To No Good’ shuffles into the fore with bubble-gum vocal samples and rolling percussion before title track ‘Better Be Careful’ shuts things down with a frightening hair-raising slammer that should be used with caution.

One artist that knows how to make an impact is Stones Taro and since arriving on the scene with a string of productions on Scuffed Recordings to legendary UK label Hardline, Taro has cemented himself as one of the most exciting new names in dance music. Here he is on hand to remix ‘Saxon Dub’ lacing a chopped vocal sample over one of the best bass lines you’re likely to hear all year.

Info: In May, halle o’malley, a producer who’s released on Vief a bunch of times by now, got in touch with an idea. She’d come across the Instagram of a 17-year-old Palestinian musician called Samih, who’s life has been torn apart by Israel's recent onslaught on the Gaza strip. Their home destroyed, Samih and his family were forced to flee to a refugee camp in Rafah. A Middle East Monitor article from June stated that him and his family have been displaced 5 times since 7th October. During their displacement, Samih has gone viral posting videos of himself singing and playing a borrowed oud, an instrument that loosely resembles a guitar.

Having spoken to Samih and received his blessing, Halle planned to sample a video of his and donate the proceeds from the sales of that track to a GoFundMe set up for him and his family. Halle approached the label with the idea of scaling this project up by inviting other producers to sample Samih themselves or provide original tracks of their own.

Madhoun now stands as a compilation containing four productions sampling Samih, an interlude, and nine other dance tracks generously donated by producers from across the world.

ELECTROCvNT is the famous duo act of longtime Cambridge electronic music scene staples LORNA and Yuval (FALQSCTF). Between them they have played hundreds of Cambridge's parties, holding residencies at Slipped Disc, Queer Get Down, Cambridge Psychedelic Society, RAID, and many more. With recent appearances at King's Bunker, GayDar, Club Urania, and Cambridge Pride, they excel at the intersection of queerness and techno, drawing on their favourite shared dance floor moments. Their recent B2B highlight was King's Affair 2024–tragically cut short due to a fire alarm, leading several members of the ball committee to remark they have never seen the bunker go so hard.
