BSSHT002 presents EXIX - 

EXIX is a Germany-based techno producer, who was born and raised in Istanbul. Following many years devoted to metal in his early youth, he found his passion in life while studying in Germany.  Along with his full-time job as a scientific researcher, EXIX believes that the inspirations he took back from his visit paved the way that led him to being an artist.
 
After being amazed by the power of rave culture in Berlin, he founded one of the very first rave collectives in his hometown with his friends from college. The lack of a proper club culture in Istanbul pushed them to find new ways of dancing and sharing - they threw raves and parties at secret locations and emerged as a new community that initiated a revolution of industrial techno in Istanbul. 
 
In 2020, he made the permanent move to Germany. Both the escape from Turkey and the pandemic somehow created the necessary space-and-time state for him to focus on music production, which has helped him a lot in exploring and discovering various projections of his creativity.  
 
His track “No Salvation” optimises the vision and sound that EXIX stands for. We’re absolutely honoured to have this rising star - who has already received notable support from the likes of SNTS, CARAVEL and Karl Schwarz - onto BBSHT002.

For the third release on his own imprint, DTR, VII Circle launches the new split series by teaming up with THAM, on a full split EP.

MORSURE brings us his version of the groove in his EP "Unknown Matter". 

As a French living on the German border, he immersed himself in electronic music at a very young age with the help of his parents: Massive Attack, Moby or the Chemical Brothers have been the seeds of Techno envy. 

Sustaining a groovy and evolving techno, while maintaining the punchiest atmosphere possible, it is MORSURE's leitmotiv. A robotic, mechanical sound for an incisive performance. 

The EP starts with an eponymous track. Arnaud confides that it is the coldest he has ever created: a tight anxiety, an evolution of the tension to be played right in the peak time. 

MORSURE still remembers his visit to the Griessmuehle: the sweaty dancers surrounding him, swinging their bodies endlessly. "Step Back" track is the grooviest, transcribing this view. 

"Unknown Matter" EP ends with "RedShift": percussive hypnosis, to hammer in the middle of an uncompromising set. A track not to be missed, if you've got any breath left in you so far.
