Mimosa is a talented dj and aspiring producer, born and raised in Greece, where she attended a music high school and first discovered her passion. 

She is known for her bouncy prog selection with tracks highly influenced by old-school trance and goa, creating an engaging journey, propelled by deep baselines and expressive melodies. With a wide variety and range in music taste she is able to cater to different crowds and whilst still maintain a unique style.

Having played in some iconic venues such as XE54, New Guernica, Glamorama & Nerve, including herself on lineups with Cybernet, Dj Life, Laura King, and more, she plans to continue sharing music and inspiring others to dance.

this week’s mix is from Naarm/Melbourne-based DJ Mimosa. aside from being a wonderful human being, perfect party selector, and srs baddie, Mimosa (aka Sia) runs B!TE - a fresh, community-focused club night bringing dancers back into the moment with pure house party energy and a safe space to absolutely throw it down. 

Mimosa’s impeccable ear for rhythm may have something to do with her Greek heritage - of which we are lucky to hear a slice of in this mix.

some words from Sia about her mix: “i recorded this mix on a sunday night, after a big weekend of gigs, with a cup full of gratitude and more inspired than ever. it’s great example of how far my music taste goes, from tribal to latin house to psychedelic trance and strictly showcases some of my absolute favourite songs at the moment. there is truly no boundaries to music.”
