Danimal has been getting quite a reputation with his recent output on Generation Smash, and he provides new heat with his latest offering ‘Lionheart’. ‘Lionheart’ follows on from previous successes on the label, including ‘Wait For You’ with Robinz and ‘The Lights’ with Tony Junior, as Generation Smash appear to have unearthed another gem who is set for big things. 

Intricate melodies run simultaneously in the breakdown, displaying a medieval swagger which strips back to reveal a stomping bassline that is guaranteed to send fans into a frenzy. The whistle melody perseveres throughout, to give ‘Lionheart’ a sense of cohesion and ties together the release nicely.

Danimal has certainly made all the right noises since dropping his first release at the end of last year, and appears to have found a perfect home in Generation Smash, the ideal place for him to flourish in the early stages in his career. With support on his releases already from the likes of label bosses Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Sophie Francis and Wolfpack, it’s clear to see that this is only the beginning of the journey for Danimal.
