I heal myself weekly with the music I play. I listen deeply to the words buried within; the intention behind the lyrics either peppered-in or chorused. So much of the house music I connect with is rooted in love. It’s rooted in desire and hope. It’s rooted in narrative, “Do you want to trip with me?”, “I’ll outstretch my hand”, “I won’t forget about you, you won’t forget about me, we won’t forget about love vibrations!”. I listen to the messages to remind myself what I need and why I continue to move forward.

Vol.2 is represented in two mixing styles; long-melded blends (Trippin’ On Love) and fast, tight radio-style cut mixes with overdubs (Slammin’ With Love). Both convey the deep need for connection to one’s body and to others. It’s this connection energy that I find so powerful about house music’s healing magic.

From our very own co-founder, the driving force and ultimate buzzer @markgill444 once again proves he's as much of a mastermind on the decks as he is behind the scenes.

In his own words: " Riding the energy from @eoindjs's sunrise set through DHC’s mid-morning fun, I felt I had no choice but to start sexy, spicy, and suave. The true beauty of a long set allowed me to expand into all kinds of musical eras of my life, just as I was about to turn 30. From 2015 Ibiza minimal anthems to Brazilian Funk with some fresh unreleased goods in between. The final climax came with an air guitar rockout session to Vengaboys remix of The Cardigans that I'll never forget.   

I really got to enjoy the magic of the Lighthouse and filled me with so much pride for what we’ve created together. Thank you to all the openminded dancers and to our incredible team, who allowed me to fully immerse myself while they ran the show. Forever grateful! " - Mark

Home can be anywhere, but what turns any place into that special space is how it makes us feel. Being at home brings solace, being far from it produces longing and both these affective powers work as gravitational forces, binding us not only to a certain location but to the environment fostered therein. Not every house becomes a home as much as not every home is necessarily a house, but if we are talking about that House that Frankie helped name and shape, the same one whose words became hymns are still sung at every corner of the globe and whose grooves took the world by storm, we can see how a sound can turn any dancefloor into a shelter. House, the music and its message, conjures a home for all of those willing to follow its mandates of maximum corporeal expression, deep emotional investment and expansive mental openness anywhere, as long there’s means to propagate it and people to enjoy it. It is this radical inclusive potential that makes an encounter such as the one in this episode not only possible, but truly magical: an Australian duo playing House from all over reaching a global audience through a platform created by a Brasilian crew. The result can be thoroughly enjoyed in this spectacular instalment of Gop Cast graced with a wonderful contribution by these bold selectors from Down Under known as Donald’s House.

Kling (BR) - Get Some (Original Mix)

I recorded this mix in 2018 for the Her Damit festival and titled it the Mystery of the Motherbeat. I was hungry to tour Europe for the first time and agreed to do a mix and play the festival on a shoestring budget. Her Damit went into bankruptcy later that year, failing to pay artists and others for their work.  They also let their Soundcloud account expire, losing all the mixes they commissioned for the series. 

I am re-releasing this mix under its original name. Its real name. It is one of my deepest mixes. It is filled with the love and hope for the future that I put into it. It was recorded a week before I went to visit Maya and Brooke for the first time in March of 2018, exactly two years ago. That visit would change my life.
