The SOL EP was created on a concept of creating and using sample based beats from the soul era of music. As the process came together, changes in life brought about changes to the overall concept. The Soul EP turned to the SOL EP. SOL meaning sun in spanish and also being a play on the word soul. This project became my source of light (sun) in a dark period of life. The writing process happened right after i got out of the hospital. I ended up getting very sick and it had an effect on my heart valves. I spent half the week iin the week in the hospital and spent the next couple of months recovering. It was during that recovery perioud that I started writing and trying to refocus on music. It became my source of light and kept my mind busy. So I hope it reaches those who could understand the deeper processes of recovery whatever that means to you. Much love and prosperity. PEACE
