I have been a Soldier in the world's greatest army for the past few years. Both my parents served. This song is a tribute to all of the Soldiers putting their lives on the line deployed. A story of a Soldier deployed, writing home to his friends and family. Explains his scenery, and how he fills. His platoon gets attacked and he is wounded. Eventually passes away been still hovers over his loved ones to protect them. Guardian angel.

I wrote this song because a best friend from childhood was the victim of a shooting at a party in my home town. Cody Lacey was a good kid. He loved to work and was always concerned with another persons well being. He was caring and very respectful even if he just met you. Cody was the kind of person that we need so much more of in todays world. Codys family was also i big part of my childhood as i spent almost every weekend at his house riding 4 wheelers and fishing with him. He is someone we will all miss dearly and will never be forgotten. He deserves this song and so much more. Miss you bro. i know your watching over me. i hope you like this song. May you rest in peace Cody lacey. Love you bro.
