Fanontale is an AU that takes inspiration from Undertale fanon perceptions by using it to influence the roles the beloved characters take, as well as manifesting in-universe, affecting the characters and their stories.
This is not an Undertale AU about "What if Undertale fanon was good", but rather one that seeks to answer the question of "what if fanon perceptions had direct consequences for the lives these characters live?"

Asgore takes Flowey's role. After being dethroned, he fled to the Ruins, and now leads a simpler existence. To the monsters and to Frisk, he is merely a friendly, humble father figure, who's always willing to lend a helping hand. 

As for Chara? Well, he knows what must be done, for his kingdom's sake. He will return to his rightful throne... But can he really finish what he started?
