In all seriousness, though, I should give some backstory. This cover is actually based off of a dream that my friend, Painzilla, had, where Spamton NEO's fight had some differences - like an attack where he takes his shades off and uses them to obscure the bullet box, an option to pirouette to spare him quicker at the cost of enraging him, and a version of BIG SHOT that had extra sound effects and elements of TWR. Hence, this remix! 

Aside from those extra Jevil elements, the main inspirations for the instrumentation were Mario Kart 64, later Mega Man games, and Deltarune itself. I thought the first two especially would fit the concept of a high-octane rollercoaster battle with a killer robot. It might be one of my most complicated remixes yet in terms of mixing, automation, and so on (Though, a good third of that was setting up the pitch-bends for the JV-1080 guitars, lol).

A jazz-fusion-ish cover of @airenn171's "Megalo Clamour" song. I dunno, I listened to a bit of Himiko Kikuchi's stuff and felt like doing something a little similar in terms of style, especially since the original song lends itself to more jazzy sounds rather nicely.

500 followers, holy shit. Honestly never really thought I'd get that much. Don't know how it happened, exactly, but at the end of the day? I'm genuinely grateful! I'm glad that that many people are entertained by my work, and I'd hope to continue expanding that audience as I keep on honing my craft. I'm glad you're all here.

As for the song itself! It's a cover of @airenn171's take on a Gaster boss theme, which in turn is based heavily on Toby Fox's old "Dream Devourer" fan-song he made for Chrono Trigger. Given that it's both badass and a bit heartfelt, I figured it'd make a good song for the occasion. Plus, I've just been dying to make a Gaster fight theme for a while now, haha.

Thank you all so much for staying with me this long. It means a lot to me. Here's to 1000, eh?

I heard this theme and was immediately overwhelmed with a profound hyperfixation. Maybe Camellia isn't the canon Chapter 3 superboss after all, but GOD DAMNIT she's canon to me. Love her concept, love her character, and of course - love her theme, which is how I ended up here. I hope I did her justice!!

CREATIVE FREEDOM (Fantasyck Cover)

The first of my two-part end-of-year special! This time, instead of it being superboss shenanigans, it's just good ol' Tenna, specifically the take R.V Pine made of them. This cover's a weird blend of the first and third versions of his theme. I thought it'd be fun to try and mix them together, and unsurprisingly, they compliment each-other pretty well. R.V's got some serious chops!!

Tenna (WTDWL?)

The second half of my end-of-year special featuring R.V Pine's take on Tenna. This one has a lot more liberties taken with it compared to my cover of Tenna's overworld theme... or, at least, more songs mashed up with it. 

On top of incorporating some minor elements of the old version of Screen Burn, it's got bits from Antenna Tower, Host With The Most, and even Kiwiquest's old Mike theme (which isn't related to R.V Pine, but kinda fits since it was the first big 'TV darkner' theme)! I also took a slightly different approach to mixing this song than I usually do. Some Maximus here, some extra EQ there, etc. If anyone's got feedback to give regarding it, feel free to let me know in the comments. And with that, I'll shut the fuck up. Enjoy!!

Readings I did of some dialogue from @dr-fansong-thing's Chapter 3 superboss take, Camellia, with a hefty amount of effects added to actually make me sound like a girl LMAO. I wasn't planning on uploading this at first since music is my main thing, but a lot of people I showed it to on Discord really liked it, so hey - I might as well!

All the tracks in the background were made by R.V Pine, as was the character of Camellia herself. Also, shout-out to the Miku plush I traced over for the thumbnail.

SoundCloud compression fucking hates my hi-hats apparently, so I apologize if this sounds like dogwater. Maybe I'll get an upload on some other platform eventually?

Anyways, though! This was a real fun track to cover. I tried to make it a bit more unique than the original song by borrowing from The World Revolving a bit more heavily, kinda like what Moonstriker and Squimpus' covers did. Battle Against A True Hero actually has a lot of instruments and motif structures in common with World Revolving, so I tried playing on that as the "base" for it. Hopefully it makes for a breath of fresh air?

God, this cover was... SOMETHING to work on, alright. The original song has this very unique feeling to it. I don't know how else to describe it except, something like a regretted suicide attempt? Like you're at death's door, but you've decided that you don't want to die yet and you're desperate to go back to the world of the living. Or your survival instincts kick in, haha. 

Either way, it's a blend of horror and pure desperation. So I tried augmenting that feeling with a bit of inspiration from other 'demon-slaying' songs - mostly stuff like Hakita's ULTRAKILL work, Super Miriam from FAITH III, modern DOOM, etc. This is my first time trying to do something like that, so if it's a little rusty, you can guess why. I hope everyone likes it, though!

This'll probably be my last R.V Pine cover on here because I don't want too much of my repertoire to be flooded with that, as amazing as their work is. Figured it'd be nice to end it with something more heartfelt.

Originally I was gonna add some really cute drawings of Kris, Dess, and Asriel jamming out over this photo I took of a stoner corner. I wanted it to kinda match the mood of the song itself - magical, yet with an almost bittersweet sort of nostalgia to it. However I am SHIT at drawing detailed hands and instruments, so I'll probably just ask someone else to draw them in eventually.

Simple little cover I made to warm myself back up after wrapping up all my finals. The usage of drums and samples was kind of influenced by @airenn171's cover at first, but the overall cover ended up going in more of a Smash Bros. Brawl-ish direction, as a friend put it. Was fun to work on!

Dark Zone (Fantasyck Cover)

Guess who discovered that Effector's Delay is a valid substitute for SNES reverb? Yeah. I downloaded the Earthbound_NEW soundfont and wanted to try something a bit more traditional, so I composed this thing with SNES limitations in mind. It was an interesting experiment, so I might focus on more original SNES-styled tracks in the future.

Also, ARTICLE 13 is still a thing that idiots are supporting, unfortunately. Just spreading the word.

A tip I learned from this: If you want to put chords in your SNES music, but you don't have enough channels, just rip some samples from Dracula X. That game's chords are actually pre-recorded samples, so they only take up one channel! The song "Bloodlines" is probably the best example of this, particularly the rock organs and one of the synths.

I wanted to do some more music following the SNES' limitations... and I ran out of ideas for other songs. So, here we are. At least it's different from all of those other remixes since the Smash Bros. version added some new things. Plus, it was interesting to figure out how to have it so that only eight instruments were ever playing at all times. Fade out this track, switch from this instrument to this, etc. Even if it's an overdone song, I think it isn't all that bad. I hope you like listening to it, too.

This one... hoo boy, I've been wanting to do a cover of this song for a long time. Toby made some pretty good tracks back when he was still doing "anti-remixes" for specific games, and Megalo Strike Back is no exception. It's a good expansion on the sort of "hate-metal" that Giygas' M2 theme used - befitting a revenge-obsessed alien, even his THEME sounds like it wants you dead. Speaking of which, yeah, I snuck in some of his EarthBound theme for the heck of it.

Keeping this up for posterity (also because I’m still proud of this cover even though Squimpus turned out to be a bit of a FREAK)

This seems like a fitting song to revisit for Halloween, right? The church organs, the choirs, etc. Although the main melody's derivative of the new "reimagined version," other bits of the remix also draw from the first three iterations of the song in different ways, as well as my previous cover and the Cloverchapel theme.

Yes, it's about that time again. Another end-of-the-year special! And with a year as hectic as good old 2020... why not embrace the chaos and have some fun? Since my main focus this year has been perfecting my MIDI work, a Touhou cover felt like the logical thing to do. But since it's also been a hellscape of a year, I figured it wouldn't hurt to add a little extra spice to it. So I threw The World Revolving, U.N. Owen was Her, and the COOL&CREATE remix of U.N. Owen in a giant blender, slapped some SC-88/SD-90 instruments on it, added a bit of FL Slayer, and voila.
