Techno and EDM are the 2 faces of the same plage : the music marketing as a final purpose. But when EDM producers say “yes we target mainstream fools”, techno-fans are convinced that they are listening to “underground” music. 

It’s time to tell them the truth : you are a marketing target like the others. “Underground” is just a marketing argument, like “seen on TV” or “Kim Kardashian likes this”...but  maybe a more hypocritical one.

If you ask me : being underground is being creative. Trying stuff. No matter if you succeed or note. And in this field Techno music is definitely the last kind of all music genres : 99% of current tracks are the same : compressed kicks, metallic drums, reverbered arp, poor grooves…where’s the creativity ?
