Good morning healing earth

Snog no. 1 of Snog a Week 

This video/song is almost 9 years old. I remember playing "Grito tu nombre" for the first time in high school thinking "are they gonna kiss? when are they gonna kiss wait they're totally gonna kiss??!" Such an earworm of a melody that's burrowed into my brain cabinet for all this time. Oftentimes, when I'm walking outside, I like to sing this real loud to keep me company.

Grito Tu Nombre

Alright alright alright I fell behind on the cover a week. To be fair, I was working intermittently on this one for the last two. It's a hard song! 

I first heard Javiera Mena through the movie soundtrack for Joven y Alocada (2012). "El Amanecer" and the Edith Piaf cover of "Je Ne Regrette Rien", pero en españollll were so fresh to me. 

This version is kinda silly and slop city all around, so if you want to listen to something cleaner and tight and loop-worthy, I super super recommend you listen to the original track. Just listen to Javiera Mena.

Hasta La Verdad

I remember roughly when this song came into my life. 2012 or 13 I want to say? Here is a cover of a song from 2009 that I heard in 2012, but in the style of songs I liked in 2007, which were obviously influenced by a myriad of sounds from the 50s-70s. 

Anyway, this was fun. I like music again. Thanks for the time traveling, Julie! Your version remains the sweeter.
