Saša Delimar aka Infinity  is a Croatian born, Berlin based music producer and DJ with over 13 years of experience in dj-ing, carving his name steadily as a music producer since 2017, first through releases in a domain of the deep techno and more recently taking the turn into the sphere of experimental techno holding on to the nuances of deep drone textures arranged with accentuated percussions. To date, he has been released on labels like IO, Illegal Alien records, Lowless, Lett record and Oslated. Saša’s chief preoccupation in music production is finding the balance between a track for home listening and playing in the club, equally embracing the experimentation of texture and composition and the rhythmical intensity of the club track. In the short time since he lives in Berlin, Saša has already performed in renowned Berlin clubs like Suicide Circus, Griessmühle, Fiese Remise and recently //: about blank, taking up residency at Art Bei Ton.

Mind Dance return with the second volume in their ‘Mystic Minds’ VA series. Launched last year as a way to continue the strong collaborative nature of the electronic music underground, each installment will shine a light on local Australian talent and their cross-continental contemporaries. 

Continuing this mission with a new batch of friends, family and former label mates in tow, round two rallies six artists from home soil and overseas for another deep excursion into the vast expanses of dance music.

From across the pond we have Dutch producer and Music From Memory regular Dazion who kicks off the VA with a wonky slice of rhythmic downtempo, and Phran, a Barcelona-based artist and member of IVAN - a duo alongside Ivy Bakarkati - who puts his foot on the gas with a stomping techno cut. 

Closer to home we have Aussie dance veteran and the man behind Mind Dance’s last release, Andy Rantzen, deliver a tight bleep-soaked acid jam, followed by Leo James and Mousse flying the flag for Melbourne with twinkling IDM and laid-back vocal house, respectively. Finally label boss Furious Frank closes out proceedings with a downbeat percussive house number to usher in summer, if you’re in the Southern Hemisphere that is...

As it's Halloween it seemed apt that I shared this mix that I originally did for The Moroders, inspired by 1970's & 80's Horror Movie Soundtracks...

"When it comes to 2nd hand record shopping there are few sections that are as thrilling to me as the ‘Soundtrack & Library’ one.
An intriguing and beguiling part of the record shop, in between the ’50 Brass Band library tracks’ and ‘BBC Sports Sound Effects’ LP’s you occassionaly come across an old Italian Horror Soundtrack by Goblin or Riz Ortolani or a synth score by John Carpenter or Giorgio Moroder.
Even your mainstream movies have their secret goodies with Pete Best’s ‘Crocodile Dundee’ supplying a low slung Didgeridoo heavy chugger and the breathy, ethereal ‘David at the Institution’ at the end of ‘Endless Love’ is a weird downtempo number worth checking out next time you see it in your local Oxfam.
The library LP is another great mine of little known synth and funk classics in waiting.
Bruton & KPM are the most obvious examples but there are a world of rare and obscure tracks waiting to be discovered by the pioneering digger.
This mix is a collection of Library and Soundtrack music featuring some of the aforementioned producers and labels and, of course, some less well known ones.
It’s horror themed and is best played in a car, alone, on a rainy night. Possibly approaching the outskirts of a rundown industrial city. Maybe you see something out of the corner of your eye. Perhaps there’s an old lady pushing a trolley full of cats. Should you pick up any stray hitchhikers whilst listening to this? Do you really want to stay the night at the decrepit motel you’ve come across…

This is a track i wrote depicting the drive down a stretch of highway between Canberra & Braidwood. Its a pretty sad sight actually - one of the most dangerous places to be a wombat or kangaroo - with hundreds of them killed on that stretch of road every week. This one goes out to all those little wild fellas just trying to mind their business.

In the spring of 2007, musician and producer Paul ‘Mudd’ Murphy decided to launch his own label. Named after the house he grew up in, Claremont 56 would release beautiful music by friends, associates, collaborators and like-minded musicians.

In the 10 years that have passed since, Claremont 56 has more than surpassed Murphy’s modest expectations. It has built up a cult following around the world, with listeners responding positively to the label’s combination of magical music, beautiful artwork, and impeccable packaging.

To mark the label’s first decade, Murphy has put together a sumptuous vinyl box set of previously unheard material, produced and presented with the same attention to detail that listeners have come to expect.

Each copy of Claremont 56: 10 Years contains five weighty slabs of wax and a bespoke info sheet, housed in a specially designed, hand-numbered box with de-embossed logos on the front and rear. There is also a limited-edition run of 200 copies which come with an additional 12” containing exclusive remixes and a brand new Paqua track, ‘Dalas’.

However impressive the packaging, it’s the music that makes Claremont 56: 10 Years stand out. Featuring a mixture of unreleased tracks and brand new remixes of vintage label releases, the highlights come thick and fast.

As you’d expect, some of the most impressive contributions come from those artists you could describe as “legendary”, including Chicago deep house originators Larry Heard and Ron Trent. Can legend Holger Czukay kindly contributes one of the standout moments, the eccentric ‘Music To Be Murdered By’, from his own unreleased catalogue, while Afro-cosmic pioneer Daniele Baldelli joins forces with Marco Dionigi to deliver a typically spacey remix of Bison’s ‘Familiar Stranger’. There’s also an epic, Afro-tinged dub disco remix of Smith & Mudd’s ‘Nether’ by Norwegian scene founder Bjorn Torske.

Elsewhere, Good Timin’ man Jex Opolis turns an overlooked track by Paraiso into a samba-boogie killer, Sean P dubs out Zee Erf’s beautiful cover of ‘Southern Freeez’, and Phil Mison turns FreshRo’s laidback electrofunk cut ‘Pacific State’ into a breezy, Balearic gem. Look out too, for the emotion-rich beauty of Statues’ ‘River Darkness’ – a track arguably worth the cost of the box set on its own – and the deep space explorations of Almunia’s Leo Ceccanti.

We could go on, but we’re running out of space. Suffice to say, Claremont 56: 10 Years is a lovingly compiled, curated and presented celebration of the label’s first decade.
