We dive into the Archive for the second time with SML024 to uncover five fresh tracks from across the Simulate universe. Leading the charge, label boss Massano presents “Do It To Me,” a commanding, aggressive record built around a captivating hook. David Lindmer returns and firmly cements his place within the Simulate roster with “Lockdown,” a powerful instrumental brimming with tension and energy, evolving from start to finish. Following their standout “Smash It” EP, Mila Journée & Olivier Giacomotto reunite with “Spaceship,” a dynamic, energetic trip through the cosmos. Digging deeper into the Archive, we welcome two exciting debutants to the Simulate family: Cherry (UA) and Tomas Otero. Cherry’s “Puer” is a melodic weapon that lifts the energy to new heights, while Tomas closes the release with “Emotions Revealed,” where an emotional vocal contrasts against gritty synths and a powerful, rumbling kick to perfectly round things off. Archive 2.0 overall presents a varied selection, providing dancefloor weapons for sets across melodic techno, tech house, and techno.

2015 saw Stephan Bodzin release his second full length, “Powers of Ten”, as well as a new single on DJ Tennis’ and Tale of Us’ taste making label Life and Death. The album is another magical piece of work that focuses on melody and rhythm, on fat bass and vivid sound design and is a truly captivating journey through the mind, music, body and soul of one of dance music’s truly modern greats. After its release, a great team of modern music makers was enlisted to remix tracks from it: Maceo Plex & Shall Ochin, Fur Coat, Extrawelt, long time musical sparring partner Marc Romboy, Pan-Pot, Max Cooper, Agents of Time, Dominik Eulberg and many more all contributed to what is an essential collection. With a remix of ‘Sleepless’, a Pan-Pot track from their latest album, Stephan Bodzin closed the latest chapter of 2015 in what has been an exhilarating musical journey in his capable and creative hands.

Now in its second decade, with a steady stream of the most forward thinking and cutting edge techno productions, Drumcode has one of the biggest selections of releases from industry heavy hitters, whilst not forgetting its future by bringing the newest talented producers into the limelight, where Layton Giordani is now a name firmly within that line up.

The New York born, but now EU based producer first had recognition back in 2014, and his debut release came via Drumcode with his track “Rivington” on the A-Sides Vol5 compilation in 2016. 

Consisting of 12 original tracks, the album packs a punch when it comes to no-nonsense techno. Successfully weaving relentless drums and catchy vocal hooks into a selection of thick, brooding, atmospheric tracks.
