Now, Bart Claessen will deliver the sixth mix in the series.

“I had such a good time digging through all my vinyl and files, finding my personal favourites, and recalling half lost memories of 25 years of Anjuna. The label I first got to know through early Tranquility Base and OceanLab releases, that later became home to some of my dearest releases. Through my travels, I noticed how the label and its music felt like a home for so many around the world, where every place has its Anjuna fans.

I’m also amazed at how so many tracks in this mix bring back their own memories of very distinct and special moments of playing them in sets. Like ‘Razorfish’ when I first played the legendary Velfarre in Tokyo, ‘Zeppelin’ opening my set on a lovely sunny day at a Dutch outdoor city festival, ‘Superman’ at one of my cherished Creamfield tour gigs in Melbourne, or playing ‘Elf’ years later in my Luminosity producer set and seeing what that still does to people. I remember the views, the atmosphere, the excitement I felt, the sounds, the connection between everyone sharing the same moment. Far From Near, a Finnish trance music producers collaboration formed in 2011. Three musicians: Samuli Virtanen, Kai Harmaala & Jani Kervinen joined their forces to create music that makes a difference. Far From Near represents something from the past while keeping the updated sound on the top.

Flexible of producing every style for the market, the guys have their own background of making music. Kai Harmaala has always been a energetic trance music producer, while being able to transform into a deeper trance producer. His releases has been seen around the globe, starting from 2006 when he and Jani Kervinen released their first 12" vinyl "K-DE - 4th Floor (find me) (Label: Monster Tunes).

Jani Kervinen, who is more like a music technician / engineer of sounds, has been learning music and sound since 1994. He's been involved in many releases at his career starting from 2003 at Afterglow Records to Mondo Records, Insight Recordings to Alter Ego Records and to Anjunabeats. Mainly he has been producing music for other artists, but now being part of Far From Near, Jani wants to put his best production skills on their own releases.

The wizard of keyboards, riffs and chords is Samuli Virtanen, who is well known for his solo-acts as Lisko, with huge releases like Silver Sky, Eon and Dead Voice. Samuli keeps the ball rolling for Far From Near while pulling those great riffs and chords from his Mind. These guys are serious stuff and there is no end for them insight!
