The sophomore release on Dynamite Disco Club comes from label manager and A&R, the Mumbai based Farhan Rehman whose Disco-Jazz inspired offering, "Disco Segway", while being a playful exchange with the word segue, also blends two contrasting musical sections together all while retaining a House composition. A distinct guitar riff accompanied by playful disco strings build up towards a hypnotic saw lead before an unexpected 70's Funk and Jazz inspired section twist the sound. The combination of classic clavinet and and keys is sure to take the audience by surprise.

In five years the label has gone beyond even their highest expectations to reach the level they’re at today. To celebrate, Wind Horse Records has gathered from their full range of music. They go from worldly, in a collaboration of Hamza with celebrated international Danish jazz pianist Niels Ian Doky and renowned Tibetan vocalist Yunchen Lhamo, to other-worldly, with Yidam’s new analog techno alias 5volts; from soulful, in working with DeepWit artist Alvaro Hylander to include the fine track “Change”, to soul-escaping, in the hypnotically deep and atmospheric qualities of Priyesh Patel’s productions; from the ambient “Lonesome Train” by Vinayak A to the ambiance of far out beats by Aman Anand and Soulspace. Staple Wind Horse artists like Kartech and Audio Units are joined by the debut of Mumbai producer Farhan Rahman and the Bangalore-based southern India transplant Stalvart John to hammer in the foundations of the label: a distinctly Indian sound naturally swallowed in deep, tech-house stylings and a knack for harboring an established crew while always introducing new talent.

Homegrown Festival 2025 | Mumbai

Farhan Rehman is back with his latest release on Windhorse Records, and this time, he takes us straight to the heart of Brazil. Known for his interplay of disco grooves, housey rhythms, and global influences, Farhan continues to craft dancefloor magic with every track he touches.

His latest offering is a sun-soaked journey to Brazil, where playful basslines, fresh favela-inspired vocals, and baile funk rhythms collide with Farhan’s trademark disco flair. At the center of it all lies a synth-driven solo that creates a euphoric moment, right before diving back into its baile funk core. Farhan Rehman returns with a fresh nu-disco jam, The Byrd, landing on See-Saw Records this May 2nd. A dancefloor-ready homage to jazz trumpet icon Donald Byrd, the track blends deep musicality with undeniable groove.

The second lander and rover mission *Chandrayaan-3*successfully landed on the Moon on 23 August 2023, making India the first nation to successfully land a spacecraft in the lunar south pole region, and the fourth country to soft land on the Moon after the Soviet Union, the United States and China.

It was a crucial turnpoint marking the end of Western supremacy. This compilation intends to be a ( somewhat delayed) celebration of the beginning of a multipolar world where the precious variety of world cultures is not levelled by globalisation.

It's Techno and Tech house with the typical features of this music but also suggesting a special feeling and introducing an Indian touch perceivable throughout almost all the tracks in the compilation.

Wind Horse Records is elated to announce a new EP - Neon Grooves. This is the 33rd EP by Wind Horse Records and the inspiration behind it has been taken from a label showcase that happened in Goa in December 2016. In an effort to spread quality house music across India, the label launched a party called the ‘The Wind Horse Experience’ and the ‘Neon Grooves’ edition in Goa was the first time they had organized an event such as this. The label’s party soon became the place for all house music lovers, especially those searching for a more groovy, funky, and ethnic vibe, complimented of course by Goan sunsets and starry nights. Wind Horse were were thrilled to see the reaction of people to their sound given that Goa is more known for a harder vibe. The line up consisted of DJs that have produced music for Wind Horse over the years and a couple of international guests. After the success of ‘Neon Grooves’ Wind Horse decided to make an EP around this party to remember the magical moment and keep the memory alive. The label invited the artists that performed at the party to borrow from the energy cultivated then and create a beautiful journey to embark on the now.

The EP opens with the dutch maestro Thee J Johanz and his remix of “Agama” by Umeme. A real intricate work of art here with its afro vocal vibe weaved into more raw analog elements that evolve and alternate in the midst of a drum-tastic, exotic, and tribal-influenced disco bomb. “Neon Afro” by Hamza goes deeper into the tropics with the thrilling combination of percussion and drums with a sprinkling of sweet melodic uplifting elements, teleporting the listener to a sunny beach. “Khawatta Ceremony” by Farhan Rehman (Mumbai) and Stalvart John (Bangalore) is a bit harder, a bit darker. This synth-track will have the dance floor grooving with its refreshing vocals and echoey chord progressions. “Antares” (also the name of the place Wind Horse hosted Neon Grooves in Goa) by Troja (Mumbai) is a change of tempo with a beautiful, ethereal sort of sound formed by warm Indian ethnic instruments and meditative melodies. Oma (Delhi) turns his track up with “One Shade Brighter”. A happy bouncy bass with solid vocals teleports the listener back to the beach party, but with a deeper edge. “Whisky Flask” by Nigel Perera (Sri Lanka) changes up the beat with a groovy number consisting of beautiful chords and twisted sounds, the perfect beach-side sunset tune. To end the journey, Priyesh Patil (Mumbai) brings “Vagabond” with smooth beats and beautiful sax samples and a deep bass to guide the floor right into the horizon.

Farhan Rehman is a Mumbai based DJ, Music Producer & Radio Host known for his groovy music productions and beat-driven sets featuring unconventional, multi-cultural elements.
Classically trained in the piano, Farhan’s understanding of varied musical styles and his ability to imbibe different genres in his own mixes, makes him an obvious choice for anybody looking for a unique sound like no other.

Farhan first broke into the scene when his remix of Josh Wink’s iconic track ‘Balls‘ was chosen for an official release by the popular music producer on his label Ovum Records. Soon after, he was supported by leading industry figure Nick Warren for his single ‘One Shot Finch’ which made it to TraxSource’s list of Top 100 Deep House Tracks of Oct 2016.

2017 saw the release of ‘Khwatta Ceremony’ (Wind Horse Records), the popular track resulting from Farhan’s collaboration with Stalvart John. Khwatta Ceremony was supported by big guns like Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, and Eelke Kleijn along with many others from the local DJ community.

Farhan currently hosts the popular show “ The House of Juju” on boxout.fm where he is pushing his musical boundaries by inculcating genres like Jazz, Afro, Funk, Disco. He has also shared the stage with some industry giants like Red Rack ‘Em, Toto Chiavetta, Wanklemut, Undercatt amongst others . Currently a bi-weekly resident DJ at Townhall (Mumbai) , Farhan has previously held
residencies at premium locations like Hakkasan and Taj Mumbai.

With a slew of releases lined up this year, this young power horse is definitely one to keep an eye on!
