“A burst from a very special moment. It was a true pleasure to play my live set on the new Mayan Warrior mutant car, Galaxyer at sunrise on Saturday. You know, there are always stories behind moments like these; funny, bitter, exciting and interesting. But sometimes words aren’t necessary, in this case I’d like for the music to speak for me. 

Many of the songs in this set are taken from my upcoming album « In Mind » out in February on @dafnerecords. I can’t wait to share them with you.

Thanks to all of you that were there, my heart is still warm..

An Orchestra for the Spirit was played live in Black Rock City, riding the Maxa Deer. It was an offering of frequencies and words to bring unity to the Burning Man community that was about to witness the temple rise in flames.

As we believe in synchronicities over coincidences, we are sensitive and deeply touched by the powerful fires that burned for weeks in our beloved California. We contemplated what our best offering could be to support, and realized it is the perfect timing to share hours of music and inspiring poetry, to navigate the mysterious waves of trascendence and trust. 

From our hearts, this set is for everyone feeling the painful part of a shedding skin, a letter lost, a broken heart, or a physical or metaphorical home brought to ashes that now requires full trust to rise again and build a new landscape.

Here’s to new landscapes. 

We allow this orchestra for the spirit to tell the rest. 

A wave of gratitude to Noraj Cue and Burgs for your talent and wisdom imprinted into this set.

Celebrating a powerhouse of a woman: Sandy Hill.

This evening, surrounded by my favorite island gatos, was a good reminder to take things less serious and allow myself to be playful with the range of my collection.

I played 2 sets and honestly a joy to experience creativity flow through me with minimal tension.
This is the later part of the night in the cozy chill out dome providing Sandy and friends with a  juicy (not so serious) landing.

Farid is an international DJ/Producer based in DC. He has been playing for 15 years in DC and Beirut but also Paris, Berlin and NYC. He is now focusing on live sets and collaborating with various artists for live performances and studio productions. He also curates music for public and private events and restaurants. He has performed live recently under the Lonely People project (https://www.instagram.com/lonelypeoplemusic/) and with the District Coalition, a fusion of electronic, classical, hip hop and rock (https://www.instagram.com/districtcoalition/).
