the improvisations for Breen are a series of improvised recordings I am making - blemishes and all - to welcome a dear friend's newest child into the world and help him find the strength to stay in it with us while he's still a little guy! There will be melodies - bell like tones - drones - and other rhythmic sounds - but they will all be single take meditations to send energy to this little guy. I hope you enjoy them!

This is a live performance realization of the performance art piece "Fugue" from the collection "Water in the Lake" by Kenneth Maue.  the performance was given on April 11th, 2022 as part of the 2nd DMA Percussion recital for Scott Farkas at the University of Washington in Seattle.

This is a video of a live premiere performance of 'counting piece 1'.  The piece was composed by Scott Farkas, and premiered by the magic valley symphony at the College of Southern Idaho on October 13th, 2019.  participating in the premiere were the magic valley symphony, several hundred magic valley 4th grade students, their families, and the remainder of the audience that evening.  
The composition of the piece is focused around a simple game that everyone played some variation of throughout the performance.
