This track is probably the most personal of the whole project. I struggle all the time with saying mean shit to myself that I don't necessarily mean, but say anyway. I think that the way that I talk to myself should be kind in the way I would want other people to talk to me, so that's the message in this song. The hook is both a declaration that I'm not putting up with that kind of hate, and an inner-dialogue revealing that I've been dishing it to myself the whole time and should give it a rest. The verse serves as a walkthrough of what my feelings could reflect if I did respond to problems with self-love rather than self-hate, and how that leads not only to love for my self, but also for those around me.

this one was inspired by, you guessed it, COVID. Mainly I just wanted to make a party track and given the circumstances I tried my best to get this message across of party like it's the last time because you never really know. Kinda depressing in that respect, but I think it's really fun and it was a blast to make.

I think if any of these tracks are going to get a video, this one would be it. I have a p decent idea for it but as life was pushing along and I lost steam throughout the year, I neglected to ever follow through on said video. It's still something I wanna accomplish though so feel free to bully me about it (in a constructive way please) until I actually put one out.

When I wrote the hook for this one I was thinking about waking up late for work. I was working from home at the time, so it wasn't like the biggest deal, but still it sucked to be starting the day off on the wrong foot.

The verse kinda feels more abstract, but I'll try to tie it together somewhat:
At the time I was really feeling all the time I spent working start to take its toll on my mental. Like 9 hours out of the day just wasted on a job/company that, imo, does not do anything truly beneficial to society. Even if it did, dedicating such a large chunk of 5 days each week to it would be overkill to say the least. Because of that time wasted, I felt an immense pressure to reevaluate how I was spending all the time outside of said job. I wanted to be sure that I was doing what I could to make the best of what I had. 

The takeaway from this I guess is to find work you don't hate, do what you can, and don't stress yourself out about those two things if you can manage it.

fun fact: this one is named after a film from 2004 by the same name. It's about time travel, and kind of a mind-fuck due to how many timelines etc there is to keep up with. I watched it for a class back in my freshman year of uni and it was probably one of my favorite assignments that weren't comp-sci related.

Writing this one I just kinda started off with talking about my morning routine at the time which was fueling my daily activities. I wish I were still this on-top-of-things but y'know we go through seasons, phases, etc and we're not always going to be living that idealized version of ourselves that we see in our heads. I will say, though, having a good morning is a major key to success. The rest of the day can go to utter shit, but if that morning was solid you can handle just about anything life throws at you.
