Fast Cakes aka John Hodgson is a Teesside based songwriter with a long history in the local music scene. Amongst the bands he has been part of include Blitzkrieg Bop, Basczax, Makaton Chat, The Gynaecologists, Viva La Diva, The Curtains, The Skydaddies, Adamanta Chubb, Erection & Purity.
John records as Fast Cakes today and his latest album was released in 2014 (Lifestory) with Call Off The Dogs (2012), as well as his 2007 album (Liveyoungdiefast)
He collects keyboards and synths and uses them at his studio "Imperial Digital".
John curates the Teesside Band Archive and presents and produces the TBA Local Heroes Podcast which features a Teesside musician or band every week.
