At last Matriark has contributed to the Ismcast and we are very excited. The young Norwegian, now based in Copenhagen, has been making massive contributions to the reborn trance scene in Europe with many fast and powerful euphoric productions as well as playing at some of the best trance events across the continent.

Her set shows a truely tasteful representation of where the electronic music scene has been moving in recent years with a combination of old classics and cutting edge new productions from the Nordics.

Hey everyone,

I would like to share with you my project for this year. I’m pitching a subscription program that will take you on a year long journey into my real-time music production. The project will be explored together with my audience as we travel along through the vast and complex outer space of music....
Having the experience of being a label owner and organizing parties, collaborating and being with the crowd, I have always tried to incorporate an awareness of the music industry‘s mechanisms. After more than a decade of working with vinyl (producing, selling, collecting, gifting, swapping, and losing), I want to deviate from the sluggish times of the last years and rethink my approach to music distribution. To achieve this I will use the Bandcamp Subscription Service..... 
After signing up, subscribers will receive a track every Thursday throughout the whole year of 2023. You’ll receive 52 tracks for 52€. At the end of each month, non-subscribers will be able to buy the monthly digital EPs for 2€ per track. For those who fear commitment of any kind, single tracks can be purchased for 3€....
Dividing the year into 4 seasons, every quarter‘s content will be presented in a continuous mix made by affiliated artists and friends. The fast rhythm of the output is an integral part oft the framework because it encourages more playfulness, spontaneity, and surprise. I’ll experiment with making versions of tracks by expanding the duration, multiplying, and reconfiguring the order of my material. Appropriated, sampled, and recorded fragments will reappear to disturb the semantics of a conventional album, releasing different meanings after each slightly shifted repetition. Thus interrelations between the output can stretch over a year‘s time, poking at  sonic memory and rigid listening  behavior. The habitual 30 minutes attention span a vinyl EP requires is given way to explore limitless digital possibilities. Even though I see great value in the compact physical object of a record, such benefits as the distribution process, pricing, and overall autonomy overrule that fetish in this new strategy. I will continue to produce vinyl, but for this project, I´d like to subvert the industry‘s superstructures (which tend to exploit the artists´ share) and strive for my own sales autonomy even more. You will be able to communicate with me on a surface level but also unconsciously via your digital trace. Streaming and purchase behavior, likes, and critiques will be met quicker and more intuitively.....

A founder of the Vortex parties and resident at Den Anden Side (former Ved Siden Af) Neri J is an artist and DJ who’s music breaks down the boundaries between techno, acid and trance. With hard hitting and high intensity throughout the entire set, Neri J does not rest in her delivery, making these her own trademarks and cementing her as one of Copenhagen's true underground darlings.

Marwaan is a dj/producer from Melbourne that has recently moved to Berlin. Combining his love of hard trance and dark forest psy Marwaan is no stranger of fast moving and progressive tracks and likes to show this genre variation in his mixes. Having released a number of his own tracks last year he is ready to show more his production with two tracks coming out next month. One being on Deestricted’s next compilation album.

The early and crude techno sound from labels such as R&S and UR became an important foundation to her style and she quickly became renowned within the Stockholm club scene.
Her style is characterized by a raw soundscape and fast pace – yet with an inherent swing and vibrancy. My is spending hours and hours curating her selection, sure to bring some unique moments on the floor

Fast Forward Productions was formed in December 2015 as a new take on DIY rave culture. All events are built from the ground up, focusing on our local scene and on collaborating with like-minded crews and concepts from abroad.
With a focus on social engagement, and by using activists from the local community to help make the events come to life, Fast Forward actively focus on creating safer spaces at the venues we use. Sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia are not tolerated.

After the first year of activities, numerous collabs and the establishment of close relationships with like-minded crews all over Europe, we decided to establish ourselves as an agency working with some of the scene´s core members - both DJs and live acts. In doing this we work both as a traditional agency and as a promotional platform for each artist’s creative output.
