Hailing from Amsterdam and with De School as his homebase, @nawazworldwide’s sound is always evolving, sliding deftly from wormhole techno to fast rhythms and glitchy electronics.

His selections on this Patterns of Perception 119 melt together while also reinforcing each other, each transition subtler than the last, sometimes even employing his own tailor-made tools and tracks for the purpose.

Beginning from a visual image, this mix blends diverse rhythms and atmospheres, offering a story line from which the listener can create their own narrative, their own image, free of imposition.

I'm thrilled to welcome Blume in the Further Inward series as they've been one of my favorite selectors in the recent year. Unpredictable gems sliding into the next one, depicting hallucinated and mysterious landscapes. 

I'm really hyped to host their own interpretation of the fast paced minimalistic tribe, with a refined and energetic blend of rhythms, loops and textures. Body and mind stimulations at its finest.

Next in our mix series is our co-founder, Ekkel. From the studio, he delivers a fresh, modern take on ’90s Nordic electronic music—both mind-bending and progressive—diving headfirst into breaks and intricate percussive trips, whether as Ekkel or Alvar. Teo is deeply woven into the Ute-hemisphere, contributing to various musical constellations. With Solar Alliance (with Oprofessionell & Mikkel Rev), he crafts expansive live trance journeys, recorded and arranged in just days. As Ipeo (with Oprofessionell), he fuses ‘90s influences with contemporary twists to create mesmerizing soundscapes. Meanwhile, Accelerationism (with Marius Bø) are renowned for their marathon sets, regularly playing for hours on end. Teo has released several records on the Seoul-based record label, Junction Forest, that showcases his signature blend of groovy, deep and tech infused trance, further cementing his influence in the scene.

For the 100th anniversary episode Teo has put together a three hour odyssey with strictly his own unreleased material. This mix is a collaboration of sorts as Ekkel requested Marius Bø, the curator of the series, to go through his unreleased folders, select the tracks and order, before Ekkel would mix it all together. A journey from dark to light highlighting both the mental groove based parts of his output, to the more sensitive and dramatic.

Our next guest belongs to a very special subsect of the electronic community. Namely, those who don't take themselves too seriously, but still deliver some of the most relentlessly captivating sets around. Part-time selector, part-time meme creator, and full-time Psychotherapist, Vincent Neumann has one of the most refreshing and honest voices in the dance music community today. Born and raised in Leipzig, he honed his skills as a resident at Distillery, earning himself a reputation as a renowned DJ with his sharp ear for underappreciated cuts. Since his humble beginnings, he has become a regular at Berghain and created one of the most followed techno meme accounts, technothegathering, where he uses his humor and knowledge of magic cards to socially critique and mirror the happenings of the underground music scene. His sets are equally critical in that they exemplify a taste that does not follow any trends, but rather a genuine spirit focused on music for music's sake. We are thrilled to bring you an exceptional two-hour mix from this special character, featuring everything from Octo Octa to Tool.
