Next up in our mix-series is, Salty DJ. He is one of Berlin’s artists to keep an eye on thanks to his skill of playing vinyl-only and the careful selection of records which ranges from first-generation techno to 00s Trance.  Well-known for his attention to detail, he also utilizes his wide genre knowledge to deliver emotive and technically impressive sets.

For this mix, he has recorded a vinyl mix, captivating the essence of the 90s. Meticulously curated, this mix takes you on a jounrey through carefully curated selected tracks that epitomize the hypnotic beats, euhproic melodies and pulsating basslines that once ruled the dancefloors.

El cierre de Refractor 2023 con @djhighfuture fue uno de los momentos más mágicos que vivimos en esta primera edición. Tras el set de Parallax y como colofón final, High Future puso el broche de cierre con un set de 120 minutos de trance y progressive cargado de sonidos melódicos y baleáricos que hizo de estas dos últimas horas de baile uno de los momentos más recordados de Refractor 2023.

Refractor 2023 closing with High Future was one of the most magical moments we experienced in this first edition. After Parallax's set and as a culmination, High Future put the finishing touch with a 120-minute set diving between old trance and progressive, full of melodic and balearic sounds that made these last two hours of dancing one of the most memorable moments of Refractor 2023.

Next up in the Fast Forward Audio Series, we present: Lawrence Lee

From jacking acid to bass and euphoric rave, Lawrence Lee's sets channel an intuitive and emotive approach to activate the dance floor. His productions and DJ sets have seen him quickly become one of the most exciting new voices in Berlin's vibrant music scene. 

He is also the founder of A7A Records, a resident of Rinse France and co-founder of the LUSH club night which has flourished into a Friday fixture at Berghain's Panorama Bar.

Mikkel Haraldstad and Uteklubb/UTE.REC co-founder Filip Storsveen (Oprofessionell) are Omformer, a driving force in Oslo’s flourishing rave circuit with a love for ominous rhythms. The Norwegian duo are intimately linked to their hometown’s musical mise-en-scène, from seeds planted at hole-and-corner forest raves they’ve grown and catered live acts far outside their Scandinavian stomping ground. They mainly focus on those in person gatherings but that hasn’t stopped them from releasing their debut EP UTE011 (August 1st on UTE.REC). Think progressive psy-trance with subtle allusion to IDM and you’re not far off their offering, looping compositions to lose yourself in, fast-paced transcendence fit for both forest floor and dancefloor. Bassiani Podcast 181 is a live recording from the UTE.REC label night at Bassiani back in June.

Producers shrouded behind reptilian pseudonyms, snake-skin-like patterns etched onto album artworks and a tonally cool yet euphoric sound, Amniote Editions is a label with a remarkable aesthetic. Termed ‘capsules’, releases refer to the closed-off spaces of wombs carrying amniotes inside of them. At the same time, the label itself is a not-so-restricted venture and establishes a growing global creative network.

Fast Forward Productions was formed in December 2015 as a new take on DIY rave culture. All events are built from the ground up, focusing on our local scene and on collaborating with like-minded crews and concepts from abroad.
With a focus on social engagement, and by using activists from the local community to help make the events come to life, Fast Forward actively focus on creating safer spaces at the venues we use. Sexism, racism, homophobia and transphobia are not tolerated.

After the first year of activities, numerous collabs and the establishment of close relationships with like-minded crews all over Europe, we decided to establish ourselves as an agency working with some of the scene´s core members - both DJs and live acts. In doing this we work both as a traditional agency and as a promotional platform for each artist’s creative output.
