Veronica’s heritage goes back to 1960 when it started as a pirate station. It quickly became the most popular station in the Netherlands and in the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s, the brand was a strong influencer. 
After some quiet yet turbulent years, the renegade spirit is back following the transfer of Rob Stenders (former NPO Radio 2) to the station where he started in the 1980’s: Veronica.
Aiming to be be the number one station for music lovers in The Netherlands. And since Dutch music lovers tend to be pop-rock oriented there is lots of quality pop and rock from the 60s till now going on (beyond the hits) whilst other genres will not be excluded.

Dutch station Radio Veronica launches a new sound and a fresh line up this month complete with a new custom jingle package from ReelWorld Europe.

The station's programming team worked closely with ReelWorld to produce the package which also features on Veronica's new TV advertising campaign.

Niels Hoogland, Station Director at Radio Veronica said: "As the heritage radio brand in The Netherlands we've always managed to maintain a young and fresh image.  The new jingles ReelWorld has produced for Radio Veronica does just that, ensuring the station sounds every bit the young, uplifting challenger its DNA warrants. The team at ReelWorld, Erik Huber in particular, is wonderful to work with.  Despite a very strict deadline they managed to cook up a great batch of cuts that really sets Radio Veronica apart and on the right course to remain as relevant in the future as it has been in the past."

The package boasts 11 custom made themes and will be followed up before the end of the year with a further update of jingles.

For ReelWorld Europe the new package is fresh off the back of new custom jingles for Radio Scoop in France and jingles for KRONEHIT Austria, 104.6 RTL Berlin, and MegaStar Spain.

Radio Veronica launches new sound from ReelWorld 

The iconic Dutch broadcaster Radio Veronica, once one of the original pirate radio stations, has launched a new custom jingle package created by the team at ReelWorld.

The pop-rock radio station recently went through a series of changes to both its line-up and its playlist, and needed a new jingle package as part of the refresh.

The station returned to ReelWorld for a new set of 16 custom themes.

Authenticity was crucial for Veronica so this jingle package features real guitars, bass and drums to give it a totally credible sound. One theme even features a Talkbox, as used by Bon Jovi, to add to the musical palette.

Chris Hartgers and Guido Sprenger, Imaging Managers at Radio Veronica: “These new jingles really sound amazing on-air – the real instruments throughout the package bring the themes to life. We worked closely with the team at ReelWorld to make sure that everything was exactly as we wanted and we’re delighted with the result.”

ReelWorld custom radio jingles can already be heard on Heart UK, NRK P1 in Norway, Belgium’s Radio 2 and Bayern 3 in Germany. The European business is based at MediaCityUK near Manchester and also recently unveiled a new sound for BBC Radio 1Xtra.
