Resurrectors are a 9 piece dub reggae band from Redfern, Sydney comprising an eclectic mix of local talent as well as musicians originally from Barbados, South Africa, England and New Zealand.

The band features some of Sydney’s finest musicians. Cameron Deyell plays in Bertie Blackman’s and Inge Lilestrom’s bands. Jon Pease tours nationally in Paul Mac’s band. Declan Kelly has released a solo album which was quite successful in its own right. Peter Firth is also a permanent member of Kingtide.

Healing is the band’s debut album and has already won them some talented fans:
The album features a bonus remix of the title track by Fat Freddy’s Drop producer and main man DJ Fitchie.

Resurrectors are an amazing live and will be touring extensively on the back of the album. Launches planned for Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and Byron Bay. Already they have supported top dub acts including Fat Freddy’s Drop and the Black Seeds.

The album combines great songwriting and soulful performance with a social conscience and in doing so delivers a very powerful and compelling musical message. This is great music made by people living in Australia and singing about Australian subjects. The band tap into a rich and soulful tradition whilst presenting their sound in a current and contemporary style. 


Healing - Fat Freddys Drop Remix

Our third installment in this series showcases New Zealand music on a world stage and introduces some amazing sounds from around the world. The previous two Green Room compilations showcased 100% New Zealand music. The Green Room 003 is about living in a global community, and working with like-minded musicians and labels from around the world that share a collective voice in their music.

Formed in 1999 in Wellington, New Zealand our sound draws inspiration from almost every part of the black music lexicon. Soul drenched vocals and jazz harmonies collide with tape delays and echo chambers, underpinned by a rhythm section as comfortable laying down a throbbing, techy soundscape as they are a swampy blues stomp.
