A real struggle to decide which division to put this on with it's groovy techy vox hits, psy-style bassline, classic oldskool stabs, futuristic acid, piano led breakdown and orbit-up freeform'esque riff. All blended together with total finesse, it's no surprise that Alex's prime influences over the years are Heatbeat, S.H.O.K.K., Lab4, K90 and Weirdo. Re-recorded with my XLR cables, so a more balanced sound. Devastating mix from start to finish. Follows on from Vol 3 perfectly and goes through the label's catalogue. Audio carnage you could call this. My favourite drops in the mix would be - DJ Thera's 'No More Misunderstanding' or Catatonic Overload's 'The Sexual Thrill'. Both cause destruction on all levels. No Theracords, No Fatal Energy kind of thing. They inspired me to start my own label, and at one point I even sent DJ Thera a demo song inspired by his music. He replied. Wasn't cut out for Theracords LOL, but still, this label was huge for me! I tried to create hard kicks like DJ Thera in my music.

A pretty random mix I put together, but it features some of my favourite songs over the years. Starts off hard dance, stuff from labels like 'Traffic', who were merging the hard trance and hard dance sound at the time. BK was always a good example of hard dance to me. It wasn't hard house, but had hard house elements, it was slightly techy sounding. Halfway through, I switch it up and play hard trance, starting with Dave Joy's remix of the now classic 'Pure Thrust'. Big standout here for me, was Kamui. They totally destroyed the scene with their music! Also 'Alright' from Phil York & DBD was always standout for me. Loved the vocals and overall feel, made me wanna dance kind of thing. I finish up with a cheeky bootleg from Wragg & Log:One and their version of the classic 'Fire Wire'. BANG! A explosive journey through hard dance and hard trance from around the world! 2006-2011 era.
