01 How Can You Stand and Watch Me Burn

This is the story of a young lad who falls for his mother's  best friend. It's actually based on a true story. This is my tribute to that young man, where ever he is, I hope he met right girl finally, and that his life turned out happy and successful.

This was another one of those things that started out as a very basic 12-bars Blues and ended up with this interesting somewhat Latin arrangement. Tony Quarrington on Vocals and guitar - just just a great job.  I love my band!!!

08 Mary Jean

You get these days that, it seems everything is going just dandy, then you hit a snag. I wrote this song one day when that kept on happening.

The guitar work by Tony Quarrington and the Drums by Terry Martell totally make this song for me - Tony Laviola's bass is also great.

This song started out as a very basic and simple 8-bar blues - but something seemed to be missing.  Then the two Tonys got onto it and created this terrific arrangement.  I love how it turned out.

12 My Life Is Like A Freight Train

After the Columbine shootings, it seemed to me that every other day we were hearing about someone going on a shooting rampage ...always seemed to be about someone who couldn't deal with their situation so they would turn the gun on someone ...I wrote this song as a sort of a protest.

It never quite sounded the way I wanted until I got the dreamteam working on it (that's Tony Quarrington and Tony Laviola)  We beat up on the song until it sounded like this - I'm actually very happy with out it turned out. (Although I wish I had a better gospel voice)

07 Lay The Blame

I overheard a conversation in a bar one day. This guy was telling his girl that he'd love to get her a flash diamond ring, or some nice clothes, if he only had the money. He kept telling her than he really loved her anyway.  That's how this song came about.  I decided that Tony Quarrington should sing it.  I love how he delivers it.

10 If I Had A Lot Of Money

This is a song I wrote and recorded in a simple acoustic style a few years ago, which was then remixed by a friend of mine who is a DJ in the U.K.  I never really liked the song as it was originally done, but I really like what was done in this remix.

Progenitor (Justin Hess) did the remix.Tim Johns did the guitar playing and original arrangement, I did the vocals.

Wishing, Hoping  - Trip-hop Cold Chill Remix

This is a nostalgic look at how things were in the 1960s, and how young people interacted. It's based on my own life at that time.

Unfortunately, this song never made it on to a CD, This is a completely acoustic version. The guitar is played by my good friend, Tim Johns, who also did the arrangement and recording. I'm singing.

Juke Box Junkies

Tony Laviola and I recorded a Country CD called Shady Country Lanes. I wrote all the songs, Tony did the arrangements for Bass, and played the Bass guitar as well as stand up bass for this CD. We used no other instrumentation since I had no budge for more musicians!

This song was inspired by a neighbour I had once, and we would go out for lunch once in a while. This song tells about that neighbour and those good moments we shared.  She really did move to a little place in the country, and she really does go antique hunting.  This song is for my friend Carol. I miss you.

MYSC stands for Make Your Suicide Count. I became annoyed when some blundering politician decided to put up suicide barriers on a bridge, Several people had jumped from the bridge. All he did was get them to change location. I think people have a right to choose when to die. This song is a sarcastic take on the subject.

This is about my dearest friend, Laurel Long, R.I.P. Shortly after Cancer took her from us, I had this conversation with her widow, and the song is that conversation. Miss you Lolly.
